How much fluid should be draining 6 days post op after tummy tuck?

I am 6 days PO tummy tuck with muscle repair and no lipo. In the past 24 hours a total of 25 CCs came out of my left drain (fluid was light pink) and 10 CCs out of my right (fluid was light red) I am even stripping the drains like my PS showed me. is this an adequate amount? I was anticipating more output considering my PS said one drain will come out 1 week PO and the other drain 2 weeks PO. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your question. I have never seen or heard of a "pie crust" suture line. I think it is best for you to follow up with your plastic surgeon regarding your concern. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.

First, if you feel like you have fluid then it should be evaluated and possibly drained by your surgeon. At 2 weeks, you have a lot of healing left to do in terms of the final scar appearance. Expect it to take a few months at least. Ask your surgeon about options such as silicone sheets to help.

From photos alone I would recommend a mini tummy tuck. However, an in person evaluation is best to determine the best course of action. COnsult with a board ceritfied plastic surgeon. Regards,
