Hi. I have a vertical forhead indent on my forehead. Ive always had it - its genetic and not a disease. Is there a way to fix this. It makes me look at least 40 and Im only 25.

You have very interesting anatomy.  In most people there is some cross over of the frontalis muscle in the midline of the forehead but in you the muscles in the midline are absent causing a decrease in volume and the indentation.  Soft tissue dermal fillers will address this problem nicely but not permanently.

What you have is a normal anatomical variance. What you see is the two heads of the frontalis muscle. The best approach is to consider injectable fillers or fat transfer. We now have a few fillers on the market that are longer lasting. Voluma and Bellafill are two fillers that you might want to consider. Both have pros and cons that your board certified surgeon will review with you before proceeding.

The best way to correct a contour depression of the forehead is with fillers. Fat can be used as well. Cranioplasty requires incisions and I would not recommend this for a midline contour problem

The issue that you have can be address with either soft tissue contouring, bone contouring or both. I see the issue on that one photo but it will look different in various angles. The best way to correct this is to contour the bone underneath it. Soft tissue contouring with fillers and fat is possible but may be lumpy as a risk. Consult a forehead contouring specialist for more info. Best wishes

Thank you for your picture.  Look like an actor.  There are many options to treat this ranging from temporary result with fillers, to more permanent result w fat grafting and fat matrix grafting (Renuva).  I find that fat grafting is less predictable but is long lasting.  Fillers give you instant gratification but they only last up to 2 years at best.  Renuva has lots of promises but it’s new.  Thank you and best wishes.

It's difficult to see the details of the indented area, so I would recommend an in person assessment with an experienced injector to discuss your options. It might be able to be helped with botox or fillers. I hope this helps! Good luck!
