Thank you for your questions. Yes, in our practice we use fillers to successfully treat bunny lines. We prefer to use a combination of Botox and fillers. Bunny lines are caused by the contraction of the alaeque nasi muscle. Botox safely relaxes this muscle and smooths out the wrinkles. Dermal fillers can restore volume to superficial lines that can still be seen even when the face is relaxed.
Bunny lines are the result of multiple muscles surrounding the nose, but most importantly, the Nasalis muscle. Treatment of these lines are best treated with Botox, as this will flatten and smooth the area, and with time and repeat administration of Botox, atrophy of the muscle will continue to improve the area. Fillers are best used for deep folds that are present even when your not animating your face/nose. Hope this helps!
Bunny lines are formed when there is ongoing use of the frown/nose muscles near the bridge of the nose which causes eventually some loss of volume in that area as one ages. Typically, Botox or Dysport is used to slow down the muscles. There are some patients who may need an additional amount of filler to help with the volume loss. I would recommend that you go to an experienced cosmetic surgeon to see what is best for you. Good luck!
Hello,Thank you for your question. This area is usually addressed with Botox or Dysport. That's not to say that filler can't be used but it would have to be on a case by case basis. Please consult with a local physician to discuss the best course of action. Good luck!
Hello and thanks for posting. Bunny lines refer to the slanted nose wrinkles that develop as we age. They are caused by a combination of nasal muscle contraction and subcutaneous volume loss that accompanies aging. The standard treatment for these wrinkles is to use a small amount of Botox to relax the muscles and soften the lines. A complimentary treatment is to use a small amount of filler injected directly into these superficial wrinkles, especially when they are deeper and well established. I hope that this information helps and best of luck to you!
Bunny lines area is a higher risk territory for fillers and first course of action is to relax the muscles responsible for formation of those lines which is achieved by Botulinum toxins injection(s)
Better to try a few units of BOTOX injection first to weaken the function of the upper nasals muscles. But only after in person evaluation can a determination be made.
Hello, great question. Fillers can definitely be used to enhance your jawline. As there are many different options for this kind of procedure, I would definitely recommend scheduling a consultation with a board-certified injector to discuss which option is best for you. Good luck!
When large volumes of filler are required, using your own fat is an excellent option. Reports in the literature claim anywhere from 30% to 70% of the fat will survive with the latest harvest and injection techniques (including using PRP). Another benefit of using fat is that sufficient fat can...
I prefer to use a superficial filler with cannulas in this area. I have tried many different techniques and this one uses the least amount of fillers and has the best results. I use Restylane Refyne or Defyne diluted 50/50 with lidocaine and then use a 23 g cannula to inject in the plane ...
