Massaging the face after Sculptra injection is ok and not for other fillers. Face oil massage after the fillers can potentially cause migration of the filler in some areas. How long ago have you had the fillers? What type of fillers have you received? Gentle application of face oil will not make the fillers disappear.BestDr. Shanthala
If you are attempting massaging to intentionally make the fillers 'disappear quicker', this will not work after it has set. However, there are injectables able to be used to help dissolve the products if you are not happy with your results. Hope this helps!
No, facial massage will not make your results resolve faster. I recommend waiting at least 24 hours before performing massage. Keep in mind, it will take 1-2 weeks for final results. Best, Dr. Emer
beabea91. Several days after filler to face, it should be OK to have facial massage, but I would ask masseuse to apply gentler pressure to areas of injection to prevent movement of the product from where it was intended. After several days, massage should have no effect on Botox. Good luck!
Fillers work by pushing up the skin and adding volume to areas of deficit. If you massage them they will flatten out and will certainly loose their effect. Gentle rubbing in of face skin products should be fine though.
Massaging of any injectable product is usually not recommended for about 3 days after date of injection.
Thank you for your question, Massaging your face will not cause your fillers to disappear and massaging a lot may interfere with your final results. However, if you are unhappy with your filler/Botox results after two weeks, you can have the fillers dissolved with hyaluronidase. Best of luck.
Massaging the area will not make the product dissolve more quickly. Massage is generally used to help manage swelling and even out the product injected. The longer you wait after treatment, the less likely the massage will have an impact.
If you are interested in reversing the cosmetic changes you notice after hyaluronic acid injections, ask your physician for hyaluronidase treatment. This will essentially dissolve the filler that has been injected. Massaging your face will have little effect on eliminating filler.
If your filler is Hyaluronic acid filler like Restylane or Juvederm you can ask your doctor to inject the area with an enzyme that will help dissolve the Hyaluronic Acid. There are also radio frequencies like thermage treatment that help break down the filler faster than it would normally be broken down by the body.
Difficult to say without a picture but I suspect that there is an imbalance between the muscles that lift your forehead and those that pull it down. The downwards muscles are winning at the moment and you have a heavy sensation. Go back to the doctor who will be able to look at the face once...
This is a great question, so thanks for sharing it here. You were right to be wary of attending a BOTOX® party, especially if you couldn’t find any credentials for the provider. Even though injectables are a relatively safe and easy treatment when performed by a certified professional, they ca...
Hi there, thanks for your question. It’s difficult to advise one way or the other without a more in-depth face-to-face consultation and overview of your medical history. I would suggest finding an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to sit down with and discuss your o...
