Downward pressure between eyes and scowling look after Botox 1.5 weeks ago.

Question

I had Botox for the first time a week and a half ago, between my eyes, forehead and crows feet. I now look like I'm scowling and have a downward pressure between my eyes. Can this be corrected? I went back and both the Dr. and his nurse (wife) said it looked great, but my sister agrees that I look freakish. If I put my finger in the center of my forehead and just lift slightly the problem is corrected. I want to go back and get it fixed, but don't dare if he's only going to make it worse.

Difficult to say without a picture but I suspect that there is an imbalance between the muscles that lift your forehead and those that pull it down. The downwards muscles are winning at the moment and you have a heavy sensation. Go back to the doctor who will be able to look at the face once more and see if there is any downwards pull that can be treated again to obtain the lift that you desired. A top-up normally fixes the problem. Go back after 2 weeks to make sure that the botox has really taken in all areas of the face.

I can not say what is going on exactly without seeing you in person or knowing exactly where the botox was injected.  The good things is that it will wear off in about 4months if you do not like it.

It is diffiicult to tell wjhat is going on and what you mean as freakish but it most likely can be corrected with prioper placement of another session of Botox. be sure you are seeing a board certified dermatologist

it can happen when the botox is injected next to the muscle instead of inside the muscle. That causes the muscle to contract even stronger than before to give you that look. I suggest not to do more injections and go to sauna or steam room couple of times and wait until the toxin wears off.
