I recently had a couple of procedures done, and my experience with the staff at San Antonio Cosmetics and Dr. Ortegon was outstanding, from beginning to end. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful in providing guidance and support. They are all genuinely kind and caring. My consultation with Dr. Ortegon was very informative. He listened to my concerns and was very honest about what he thought. He actually deterred me from having additional cosmetic surgery on a specific area of my body because he believed that I did not need it. I was extremely grateful for his honesty. This being said, his recommendations were exactly what I needed. Dr. Ortegon, Nurse Cynthia, and the entire staff are truly wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Ortegon. You will not be disappointed!
...And just to make it clear, the only surgeries I've ever had are my wisdom teeth removed and my gallbladder removed. I traveled from California to see Dr. Ortegon for my procedure. It was a breast augmentation but also a lift on one side. The virtual consult was super easy, and when I got to San Antonio, the visit I had in person to do the Vectra scan and sizing with Dr. O were all smooth and very informative. I was very well aware of everything that would be happening both in the consult and then bigger picture for surgery, and was made to feel comfortable through all of it. Huge shout out to Monica for working scheduling magic and appeasing my concerns about "being in too much pain to travel" - I literally laugh at myself in hindsight for being worried about that, because this procedure was really that easy. Surgery was so smooth and fast! I arrived at 2PM on a Tuesday afternoon for a 3PM scheduled surgery and I was out of there by 5PM. I will mention that I do really well on anesthesia and didn't need the nausea meds for afterwards... I was hungry. I only took the Tylenol #3 for the first two days and switched to regular tylenol after that. I flew back to California on Friday afternoon. As of today I'm 2 weeks and 1 day post op and I can truly say this was close to painless. It's a lot more discomfort than anything.. I mean like, I just got these big new boobs where I didn't have much going on before so the weight of them, the sensation of them bouncing when you go down the stairs, rolling onto your side... it's all weird. Not painful, but just strange. It takes getting used to for sure. It's not really that they hurt, its that you can just... feel them? If that makes sense. Anyway, I took the tape off the incisions yesterday at the direction of my wonderful nurse Cynthia and it's all healing really nicely. I know everything doesn't really settle to its final form until around 3 months and since I had a lift done on one side, there's still bruising and swelling on that side, but even still I am so thrilled with the results. They look SO GOOD. The cleavage is top tier, the way they shaped my body and gave me a waist is so fire... all the way around, chef's kiss. THANK YOU DR. O!!!! I've never had plastic surgery before but I definitely felt like a real housewife rolling up to the fancy Boerne surgery center and being so well taken care of all the way across the board. This was an incredible experience all the way around with amazing results.
I absolutely love this office. The whole staff is amazing. 6 weeks post op of a mommy makeover and I could not be happier. I was so scared of the procedure but everything went smoothly and I've healed so well. I wish I had done it sooner.
I’ve always had a great experience with SACS. Dr. O and the entire staff were friendly and wonderful. During my most recent visit, patient consultant, Lisa Williams was the best. She is very knowledgeable and explained the process in detail. Lisa made me feel comfortable and allowed me to ask questions. I would highly recommend SACS for all your beauty needs.
I couldn't be happier with my results! 520 cc implants, I still wear my same clothes, I went from size 34 C to 34 DD, the recovery was fast, I would say that immediately after two days, I also did a liposuction of the abdomen and following instructions, and taking all my medications on time I did not have No complications, I can't wait to exercise and work on my abs, my scar is going very well 3 weeks after the surgery, I would go back to do any treatment with the surgeon Delio Ortegon, I never went through pain since I left the hospital, I receive many compliments for my breasts and abs liposuction and I have recommended to several people that their best choice is my surgeon. I'm going to add before and after photos (I don't like to see before photos) lol THANK YOU VERY MUCH DOCTOR ! GOD BLESS YOU! MARIA HERRERA Date surgery: 09/10/2021
I couldn’t be happier with my decision so far. 365cc silicone moderate profile implants placed under the muscle. I’m only 7 days post op but loving the results. Day 2 post op was the hardest and after day 3 I no longer needed the pain meds. Have my 2 week follow up next week. Updated on 2 Mar 2021: Now 3 months later. Breasts have softened up and they look fantastic. Zero regrets. So glad I was not pushed into getting a larger size. I enjoy being able to fit into all my same tops. They just look tons better!!!
I'm 39 years old, 5'3", roughly 150 lbs, and I've had 2 kids, they are 13 and 10. I am going with the SSF-485 cc round Natrelle gummy bear implants that will be under the muscle. This procedure has been something I have thought about on and off since I was around 18 years old. At that point in time I wasn't thrilled with my boobs but I was at peace with them and wanted to wait until I had kids. Firstly so I could breastfeed without implants causing issues and secondly because I wanted to see what I would look like post breastfeeding. Well my body let me down on that......they deflated horribly. Like super sad balloons......Currently I am a 34B, but a small to mid size B. From what I am seeing it looks like I could end up in a big C or a D cup, which is what I am looking for. I had 2 consultations, one this year and one a couple years ago (which was with a different doctor). I chose Dr Ortegon because while I was anxious the first time I went in, his staff instantly made me feel relaxed. He took all the time I needed during both my consultations to answer my questions and show me all my options on the Vectra imaging software. I am still quite anxious about being under complete anesthesia and the whole healing process. It's still surreal that I have committed to doing this. I'm super excited to see what happens in 2 weeks, and beyond, once the healing process is complete. I will post before pics soon. Updated on 23 Oct 2020: I'm currently one day post op so they are still real sore and high. I had my 24 hr post op appointment this morning and they took the gauze out from my surgical bra and said the lack of bruising is good. There is a potential for bruising down the road but today they look good. Scheduled my 2 week post op appointment for Nov 4th, hoping they drop at least a little by then. Looking forward to being able to massage them and get the pressure out. They currently feel like they did when I was nursing my kids and they were overdo for a feeding. They are rock hard and sore right now. I've been told that's how we want them for 24 hours out of surgery. I will post before and after pics shortly. Updated on 12 Nov 2020: I'm 15 days post op and they have started to drop and fluff.......or drop anyway. I'm still loving the look and how much better my clothes fit now. The tight feeling is gone but the muscles are still tight and there is some swelling still but the pain has subsided and im now impatiently waiting for them to finish dropping. there was some slight bruising and a small blood blister that developed from the tape over one incision. it all went away with no issues. I have lots of zingers throughout from my nerves healing and there is some sensitivity around my nipples but that should go away. I started massaging them last week after my 2wpo appt and that has helped them feel better and less sensitive. Updated on 7 Dec 2020: Went this weekend to be sized for new bras at Soma. I am measured at a 36 DDD but 36 DD felt like they fit a bit better. So I finally got to wear regular bras again. Yay!! Looking forward to being able to go nuts at VS soon, they will still drop some more so I think the sizing may change. I was also cleared last week for full activity so I'm excited to start working on my lower body to tone up.
5'4", 195 lbs, 42 years old. I was a teen mom and six children later this is the body I ended up with. My surgery is scheduled for March 16, 2020. I am excited and scared all together. It's hard for me to believe that change is coming. I've lived like this for so long, I hope to God that all goes well...Since I rely deeply on everyone's post, I decided to share my journey as well. My before pictures were hard to take and even harder to share. I'm hoping to lose another 10lbs before surgery, fingers crossed. Updated on 6 Feb 2020: More before pictures. I keep reading how some women wish the would have taken more before. Excitement is building up! Updated on 28 Feb 2020: Oh my goodness I’m getting so excited, trying to get prepared. Updated on 15 Mar 2020: I’m scared that something could go wrong or that the healing process will be more than I can handle. No matter what fears I have I want this more than anything so it’s definitely going down... more horrible before pictures, just showing why this needs to happen. Updated on 16 Mar 2020: My surgery was canceled because we went on the cruise. I’m so angry! Updated on 17 Mar 2020: I feel like a spoiled brat and I want to throw the world’s largest tantrum! But I know I shouldn’t I’m blessed in so many ways, my life is the best it’s ever been and I’m crying over not getting my plastic surgery done when I want it... Updated on 9 Jun 2020: May 13, 2020 I got a tummy tuck, breast lift with implants and bbl. Dr. Ortegon took very good care of me. If I have any questions I call the office and I am able to speak to him immediately ( wish Kinda amazed me). I couldn’t be happier with the assistance that I have received. I am still in the recovery process 3 weeks 5 days. Thrilled with my decision of picking Dr. Ortegon. I have tracked every step of my journey on RealSelf... Thank you so much Dr. Ortegon and his wonderful staff. A shoutout to Lisa for making me feel like family, you are a true asset. Updated on 20 Jun 2020: Updated on 7 Jul 2020: Ugh I’ve been eating badly, I need to regroup. This Covid thing has me going crazy.. 2 month update doing good...Not the best picture but it shows I got some booty now.
I am 10 days postop after having breast implants removed, a breast lift, liposuction, & fat transfer to breasts. I had my original implants placed 6 years ago. I had them removed because they were too big, uncomfortable under the muscle, and fell into my armpit when I rolled to the sides. My original surgeon didn’t listen to what I wanted, and pushed me to get a large implant instead of the lift I wanted. Dr. Ortegon really listened. He saw me multiple times, and answered questions over and over again until I felt completely certain. I’m only 10 days out, but I love the results! It’s exactly what I should have done the first time.
I chose to finally take a leap of faith and even out my breast. One has always been a cup and a half bigger, and this asymmetry always bothered me. My treating doctor listened to my concerns and primary goal. I didn’t see him for my pre-op but the day of surgery and the day after, he answered all my questions. I feel, being only one day after my procedure, that he did an amazing job! Updated on 26 Nov 2019: I’m pretty satisfied with the current results. I can tell the right breast is still slightly bigger than the left but still way better than what I started with. At 4 weeks I was already back at the gym and lifting lightly. At six weeks all restrictions were off. I’m golden now; just to work on the scars now.
Many patients experience a loss of positon and volume of breasts with weight loss. Yes you can have youthful appearing breast again! However, you will need to have a brest lift and augmenation. Good Luck
You have a very common question. In my experience most patients with your level of ptosis (sagging) are best served by the combination of a lift and implant. This combination gives the longest lasting youthful appearance. Good Luck
From your picture it is very difficult to know for sure if you have an implant exposure. I recommend seeing your plastic surgeon as soon as possible.
This is not generally a dangerous combination. I feel that this is a very powerful and underutilized combination for recontouring the waist and abdomen with the additional benefit in additional perceived buttock projection without buttock augmentation.
You have a very common question. Yes umbilical hernia repair and abdominoplasty are often don at the same setting. If your surgeon is trained in general surgery, he/she may very often fix the hernia without the involvement of another surgeon. This should not be an issue, however discussing your surgeons comfort and familiarity with this repair is important.
