Thank you for your question.  A lot of times male patients have intra abdominal fat which is fat around the intestinal area.  This fat is not treatable by liposuction or even a tummy tuck.  In order to treat that fat it would consist of a low card diet, exercise and weight loss.  Although women can have this as well, we do see it a little more in men.  I would recommend going in for a in person consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and see what options you may have.  Best of luck to you during your consultation. 

Aggressive liposuction is an art and only certain docs can do it well.  Be sure to get it done under tum. local with a little iv sedation and have the doc use the micro canulas and where he/she stands you up occasionally during the procedure to fine tune the results.

helix303.  Interesting observation. Actually men usually have thicker skin and subcutaneous tissue allowing more aggressive liposuction technique. Unwanted contour regularities that can occur with aggressive Liposuction are less likely in men because of these anatomical differences. However skill and experience are needed to aggressively liposuction the abdomen and flank regions to properly  contour mens’ trunk regions. Also skin elasticity differs from individual to individual and sometimes added skin excision may be necessary in individuals with very lax skin. Liposuction is a fat removal surgery and not a skin tightening procedure. Perhaps your goals would best suit a tummy tuck procedure. The difference is that liposuction gets rid of the excess fats and improves body contour, whereas tummy tuck gets rid of excess loose skin on the abdominal region. Tummy tuck will tighten the skin and make the stomach appear flatter. Be sure to discuss your desired results with your surgeon thoroughly to avoid miscommunication.

Hi helix.I think that it is very important that you seek out experienced board certified plastic surgeons, and listen carefully to what they say.Lipo of the ABS won't give you a V shape.  Lipo won't get rid of overhang.  Lipo won't fix redundant lax skin.Perhaps you are asking lipo to do things that it cannot do?  Are you a candidate for another procedure like a panniculectomy or tummy tuck?If several doctors are telling you the same thing, perhaps you need to ask why and consider an option that would be better for you.sek

If you have been to several consultations and do not see what you want, perhaps surgery is not the answer. Liposuction removes excess fat, but does not give muscle definition and reshaping. There are now treatments to help stimulate more muscle definition.
