your results are the result of somewhat uneven performed liposuction. It's not terrible in the areas of unevenness are fairly wide and the transitions are smooth. In other words it's not cobblestone appearing. I think a revision could even this out very nicely. The more fat that was left behind the easier it will be to do revision. Considering you're probably not thrilled with your current results I would stay away from etching. To me this procedure creates highly abnormal results that are not flattering. Looking like someone is flexing big muscles made out of fat when they're in every position and not standing in front of the mirror trying to look like Arnold seems silly. In order for etching to work you should have a baseline layer of fat that would be left behind to stimulate the muscle. Overall you had a fairly assertive liposuction procedure. Your best bet is to finish off the job with a revision either by the provider who did your surgery or someone else. Fat transfer to correct excessive liposuction works poorly. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
