Is there anything I can do to make my hemosiderin staining go away after lipo? (Photos)

I got lipo over 5 months ago & I believed I developed hemosiderin is there anything I can do to make it better or for it go away ? I also developed lose skin, fibrosis & uneven stomach. any recommendations to fix my stomach back to normal ?

It is too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding Vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. at five months you can consider your liposuction net results close to final or close enough to final that you will not have a substantial change by waiting longer.  Hemosiderin deposits take a long time to resolve these may continue to improve for as long as a year and a half.  Perhaps a little late now but the best way to minimize hemosiderin deposits is for the plastic surgeon to wait at least 15 minutes after injecting tumescent solution before beginning the procedure. This is done almost always when liposuction is done using local anesthesia with mild sedation. However, when general anesthesia is used surgeons are sometimes a little impatient to minimize the time under General Anastasia and keep facility costs as low as possible. Waiting 15 minutes of idle time in the operating room can be substantially expensive. The epinephrine which is part of the tumescent solution really takes 15 minutes before it's in full affect. The epinephrine which is part of the solution vasoconstrict blood vessels in the area clenching the skin and decreasing bleeding substantially during the procedure. Minimizing bleeding has many affects all of which are positive. Of course having less blood loss is a good idea. But it also keeps patients feeling better after the procedure, minimizes hemosiderin deposits etc.  I don't know of any way to speed up or help remove hemosiderin deposits other than giving it time.  In regards to your results I would consider them final at this point which you can either except or inquire about revision surgery which may or may not be a good idea. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
