Call lip filler be injected on bottom lip to increase projection? (photo)

Question

I have an overbite and large nose, two face trait killers. I understand fillers will not solve overbite but can lip filler in bottom increase projection of lower lip and make some improvement?

Thank you for your question.I do not think lip filler will make that much of a difference for you.  It is not going to increase projection of the lip that much, it will only plump the lip.

You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. Volbella, Restylane, and Juvederm are good to create a symmetrical lip. NovaThreads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. Technique will be important here, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Shantmasu I appreciate your concern and lower lip augmentation is certainly an option in your particular case. Physical examination would be helpful but modest I Lip Augmentation is a nice way to camouflage the effects of an overbite. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist in our area for a full evaluation.

Fillers to your lower lip is a great idea. HA fillers are typically the product of choice. Personally I really like using Voluma because it lasts longer and gives more volume per syringe. I would also encourage you to look into having some filler injected in the “V” or crease at the bottom of your lip or the area between your lower lip and your chin.this area can look overly sunken in people who have a small but appointed children especially those who have had previous chin implants or chin fillers.injecting fillers in the lip only and ignoring this crease just below the lip can make the crease look even deeper.talk to a few providers who have extensive experience and seem to understand facial aesthetics.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
