The first week my butt looked the same, it was so small. The second week it looked great . Now on week 3 it got smaller again. In the next weeks will my butt get bigger or smaller ? And when do you start seeing your final results ?

It is much too early to make assessments about final results three weeks after your BBL.  Recovery from BBL is patient dependent. Much of this depends upon the amount of liposuction performed and the amount of fat transferred.  I have observed that between 4 and 6 weeks the buttocks tend to stabilize in volume.  Usually by 3 months, the swelling is minimal and totally resolved by 6 months. About 50 to 70% of the fat survives long term. Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

There is a lot of swelling post op that causes your buttocks to appear larger than they are. Over time, the swelling subsides and your buttocks will become smaller. Thank you for your question. With Brazilian butt lift we transfer fat from one area of the body to the other. These fat cells are transferred in microinjections throughout multiple planes in the buttock tissue so that they can gain new blood supply and live in their new home, providing increased volume and shape to the buttocks. You are likely seeing changes as a result of decreasing swelling.  After surgery there is a predictable swelling process that mostly resolves over two months, when the final result really settles in.

You are very observant.  The first week to week and a half, the butt has very little shape.  As the swelling subsides, the buttocks looks larger.  As the next few weeks pass, the swelling continues to resolve and the buttocks appears smaller.  The true size will not be apparent until 3-6 months.
Relax and let nature takes its course.  Nothing you can do to affect it.

Your butt will continue to get smaller for 3-6 months after the surgery. You have a really close idea of your final result for your buttocks at 3 months.

Swelling will contribute to the overall size initially. As the swelling settles, your buttocks may get smaller. This usually happens within the first 6-8 weeks.
