Hello, I just paid my deposit for my breast Augmentation and my surgery date is next month. I will be travelling to Miami from New York. I was just wondering what supplies I should buy for pre-op? Any suggested tips? Thank you in advance.

Answer: Preparation for breasts augmentation Dear Bianca, Before answering your questions, let me tell you that even though cost of surgery is important, quality of surgeon is more so, because if you will need corrective surgery, the total cost and recovery time will escalate significantly . That does not even include the mental anguish and frustration from the bad outcome. You have to realize that not all results are the same, because experience, skills and aesthetic eye are critical for good outcome. So, I hope that you did your due diligence carefully , beyond the cost, and chose your surgeon wisely. There are excellent plastic surgeons in both New York and Miami, but you have to find them. Always, consult with experience board certified plastic surgeons who operate in accredited surgery center for your safety. Most importantly, check the before and after pictures in the photo gallery, to make sure that they are numerous, consistent and attractive with nice cleavage, perky, symmetrical and natural looking. Now to your questions. For just plain breasts augmentation, you do not need any supplies. I would recommend that you follow diet and supplement instruction , to avoid blood thinning (tomatoes, Vit E etc) and interference with anesthesia (diet pills, caffeine etc). All my patients receive a pre operative sheet with foods and supplement to avoid. An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. Best of luck, Dr Widder

Answer: Breast augmentation supply list Thank you for your question. Since you are traveling for your operation, I hope that you have discussed post-operative expectations with your specialist plastic surgeon. Do you have someone to help you immediately after your surgery, as well as a place to stay while you recover? Recovering enough to fly home will take a few weeks at the very least, so hopefully there is a plan in place for that, as well as one for any unforeseen complications. With that being said, your specialist plastic surgeon should have provided you with information about what you will need the day of your surgery as well as during your recovery, and will most likely cover that with you again at your final pre-op appointment. Ask as many questions as you need, and good luck with your procedure!
