Would a breast augmentation suit my body?

Thank you for your question and photographs.  I think you are starting from an excellent position and should anticipate a nice result.  Although you have a nice figure already, if you would like to accentuate your curves and augmentation is a reliable option. It may be wise for you to "try on" several implants during in-person consultations so that you can have a better visual representation as to what they would look like and how they would impact your figure..  Best wishes!

I recommend an in person evaluation by a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them. Thank you for your question. The key to deciding whether to consider breast enhancement with breast implants is to fully educate yourself on this procedure. I have been performing breast augmentation for over 30 years and I have found that the best candidates are fully informed women who desire natural looking enhanced breasts that complements their physique. The key is to find a board certified Plastic Surgeon who understands YOUR vision of the breast shape, contour, nipple position and size that YOU desire. A good place to start is The Aesthetic Society's website, who's members must be certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and who perform safe and reliable Aesthetic Surgery. I always recommend that during your research you look at before and after photos from potential Plastic Surgeons you may choose to perform this surgery to better understand the kind of results that Plastic surgeon consistently achieves. As a member of The Aesthetic Society and a past president of it's Research Foundation, I believe that you will be able to decide if breast augmentation with Implants is right for you after you have an in depth consultation with a qualified board certified plastic surgeon who shares in your decision making process. I think a breast augmentation would look good with your figure and I agree that a modest augmentation would look natural and attractive. Make sure you aware of the details of your surgery, risks and benefits. Also remember that implants are recommended to be changed every 10 years, so it is an investment for the future.

A breast augmentation will make your breasts look larger but will not necessarily add curves to your body. You are lean and I think the amount of breast enlargement you decide upon has to be carefully thought out by you and your plastic surgeon. I suggest you see a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your concerns surrounding your breasts but also the silhouette and curves of your body. A breast augmentation may not solve your areas of concern. Good luck!

It ultimately depends on what your desired outcome is, however, based on the photos provided you would be a great candidate for a Silicone Breast Augmentation +/- Fat Grafting to Breast. My recommendation would be to meet with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that specializes in breast procedures. They will take measurements of your current breasts and give you a range of implants that will fit your body. At consult you will be able to try them on and see which of the implant projections /cc's you prefer. I hope this helps and best of luck to you!

A board certified plastic surgeon will be able to guide you to the correct size implant for your measurements and desires. The most common breast implant sizes are those which are between 325 cc and 400 cc. Measurements of the chest wall and breast imprint width as well as knowledge of all breast implant sizes and profiles should make this process easy. Try on a profile bra with various saline and silicone cc sizers your PS recommends under a tailored blouse, tank top, bikini, workout clothes, and other garments you typically wear so that you have the best idea of whether the garments fit as desired with the implant selected.

The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers or small implants can be placed totally submuscular. Implants are not lifetime devices. 8% fail within the first year and 30% fail within six years. Fat transfers are permanent and incorporated into the body.

Thank you for your question and posting appropriate pictures. You seem to be an excellent candidate for breast augmentation specifically trans umbilical breast augmentation where smaller saline implants are in placed through the belly button without any visible scars. You’re a particularly good candidate for this as you are starting off with good breast tissue camouflaging the implant placed under the muscle. Of course it’s best to have a consultation to discuss options and preferably undergo 3-D imaging to simulate the postoperative results with high accuracy.
