I had a rhinoseptoplasty 13 months ago but i still have nose tip swelling, according to my surgeon it's due to the complexity of my surgery and my skin thickness. He said that at 18 months the swelling should totally disappear. My problem is my upper lip is still a bit swollen,it covers my top lip a lot more than before. My surgeon said this is normal and untill my nose totally heals my lip will not look as before the surgery cause nose swelling fluids involve upper lip too. Is it possible?

Answer: Nasal swelling may persist for up to 2 years after revision rhinoplasty surgery.
I agree your nose is too large with the rib graft and it is also too long. The rib graft can be removed but it is unknown what your nose might look like without it. You may still need a graft in the bridge but one that is smaller.
