I have never liked my nose. I have a wide bridge and big wide tip of the nose. My nose seems to also get much larger when smiling. Is it possible to slim the nasal bridge bone and narrow the wide tip at the same time? How can the tip be slimmed and come to more of a point without the nostrils collapsing?
Answer: YES- I Recommend Rhinoplasty | Plastic Surgery Nose Job Expert | Fix My Wide Bridge Bulbous Asymmetric Tip | Beverly Hills LA Hello and thank you for your question and the pictures. Addressing the shape of your nose (especially the bridge and nasal tip) is actually one of the most common reasons people seek out and undergo a rhinoplasty. An open septorhinoplasty can best address both your aesthetic concerns and any functional issues with your nose. I would be able to adjust the size, shape, and definition of your nose (particularly the bridge and tip)! I would precisely place multiple cartilage grafts to reinforce the underlying structure to prevent nostril collapse and prevent the distorting/warping forces of scarring as you heal. This truly is a surgery of millimeters- and whether you're looking for a minor adjustment or a major transformation, it requires exceptional surgical skill to achieve functional and natural-looking results! Because your nose is the DEFINING feature of your face- I would only recommend seeing a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty procedures, and who has significant training and experience performing these surgeries. I actually trained under one of the world leading rhinoplasty experts (who performs 1,000+ nosejobs annually). I recommend for you to setup a formal consultation with me (or another plastic surgeon who is extremely comfortable with rhinoplasties) to thoroughly discuss your surgical goals, undergo a formal examination, evaluate your options, and develop a personalized plan just for you. I hope this helps! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello! Thank you for your question As far as I can see from your photos with alarbase plasty and rhinoplasty, it is possible to narrow the wings of the nose and achieve the appearance you want, for this I recommend you rhinoplasty operation. It would be better face to face consultation. Best Regards!

Answer: Open rhinoplasty Yes, the bridge is partially bone and cartilage that can be narrowed and the tip at the medial lateral crura junction can be narrowed as well. It is most likely that you will need an open rhinoplasty to do both procedures. This will take 2 hours to perform under general anesthesia and costs $8,000. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: These are all parts of a rhinoplasty ... If the bridge or tip is wide, narrowing those parts of the nose can be accomplished in a rhinoplasty. The way that your smile pulls the nostrils apart can't be changed -- that has to do with your facial muscles. But if you believe your nose is too wide at rest, and the surgery makes it narrower, it won't get *as* wide with a smile as it did before surgery. You only posted those frontal views, but it's often the 3/4 views that show best the width of the tip -- see the photos I posted with this answer.
