An incision directly in the hairline can prevent it from moving either significantly up or down. This incision is typically well camouflaged in the hairline itself.
Hello, hope you are well. The closest you can get to preserving the natural hairline position among the most common methods is with an endoscopic brow lift. However, even with this surgery the hairline is raised a little bit. Best,Dr. Tower
When patients have a higher hairline, I generally perform a trichophytic browlift (right at the hairline) to stabilize or lower the hairline. 98% of my brow lifts are endoscopic, which require smaller incisions and have much less operative time but can slightly raise the hairline. A coronal browlift invariably lifts the hairline so I don't utilize this technique. There are other incisional forms of browlifts (direct, midbrow) more appropriate for men with deeper forehead creases and do not affect the hairline.
The hairline is going to shift upwards or downwards upon placement of the incision for a brow lift procedure. The hairline never stays the same with a brow lift procedure. Endoscopic brow lifts tend to raise the hairline uniformly, and we rarely perform them. A coral approach incision at the frontal hairline, can actually lower the hairline, while the incision behind the hairline can actually raise the hairline.
Gliding Browlift and Endoscopic Browlift are two main techniques to elevate brows without changing the hairline
Corrugator resection during brow lift significantly weakens, but does not completely eliminate the corrugator muscle. Similarly, it will make the crease between the brows better, but not completely make it go away. Even after corrugator resection, you may still need some neuromodulators to...
Generally in endoscopic Browlift forehead skin and muscle elevates at the same time as a one unit with brows. But there can be some modifications possible based on patient’s preferences. We can change dissected areas or vectors of lifting to achieve desired outcomes.
Irregular Trichophytic Browlift to permanently set brow position without raising the hairline. Yes, this is done with light general anesthesia! Make sure you see a very experienced surgeon for this and see his results with the hair pulled back.
