Correlation between lifting eyebrows and lowering the hairline

Question

If an endoscopic (or any other) type of brow lift is performed to raise the whole eyebrows by 1 cm, will the hairline get lower by 1 cm too, less than 1 cm or stay relatively intact?

Different types of incisions will affect the hairline differently for a brow lift. Incisions behind the hairline will make the forehead larger. Incisions at the hairline will leave the forehead length overall intact, as will an endoscopic brow lift. Your surgeon should be able to walk you through the pros and cons of each procedure during your consult.

With an endoscopic browlift, the hairline is not lowered.  With an incision at the front of the hairline then the hairline is lowered as well as the eyebrows are elevated.

Hairline position after full Browlift? The entire brow can be lifted both laterally and centrally, using the Irregular Trichophytic Browlift that I invented almost 50 years ago. If properly done hair will grow through the incision so no scar is seen. Make sure you see the surgeons results using this technique with the hair pulled back.

An endoscopic brow lift will raise the hairline. A coronal approach brow lift can accomplish raising or lowering the hairline, depending upon placement of the incision. To lower the hairline, the incision has to be placed at the hairline, and the bald skin is removed and the hairline can be brought down approximately 2 cm while raising the eyebrows one centimeter.
