What is this that's happening to my nose post-revision? (Photo)

Question

I had a revision rhino in late 2019. I had a rib graft on one side fixed via another open revision in March 2024 because it was making my nose asymmetrical and C-shaped (by the same doctor). I'm 4 months out from that last procedure and it looks exactly the same as before. That side of my nose is severely swollen looking all the time and looks extremely c-shaped still. Is there any chance this will go away down the line?

have you done any steroid injections? this looks like it's itching for one. Otherwise it's too hard to tell what could be going on without access to your op notes

Hello and thank you for your question. It is very normal to still be swollen at four months. However, depending on the surgical techniques used by your surgeon during your latest revision, this may improve with steroid injections or it may not. If your surgeon is unable to help you, then you may want to consider seeking secondary consultations with revision rhinoplasty specialists who can evaluate you in person.
