I had a mini TT 6 months ago and was left with a lot of laxity and extra skin. I want to have it repaired, one surgeon is not sure how much improvement I will get from another surgery. Also had a breast lift/aug at the same time that got infected and left me scarred. The left also bottomed out and right contracted up. I have ultra high implants now and would like to stay at least with high profile but will that be possible once all the scarring is removed.
Answer: Mini Tummy Tucks Thank you for your questions. I will answer regarding your tummy tuck. Your sort of result is why I rarely recommend a mini. From the photo you show, I believe you may benefit by conversion to a fully tummy tuck. I would suggest you get another opinion or two. Best of Luck, Dr. Jim Romanelli.

Answer: A Full Tummy Tuck and High-Profile Implants Are Viable Options Hello Tabitha1703, and thank you for your question regarding abdominal laxity and breast revision concerns. From your photos and history, it is clear that a full tummy tuck would be necessary to address the excess skin and laxity in your lower abdomen. A mini tummy tuck is insufficient for the amount of excess skin you currently have. A full tummy tuck will remove the extra skin and tighten the abdominal area, providing noticeable improvement. Most plastic surgeons would agree this is the best approach for your situation. Regarding your breast revision, it is highly likely that you can maintain high-profile or even ultra-high-profile implants during your revision surgery. The scar tissue around your current implants is likely minimal, typically about 1–2 tablespoons per side. The removal of this scar tissue should not significantly impact your ability to use high-profile implants. Once the scarring is removed, and your breasts are revised, you should be able to achieve a more symmetrical and aesthetically pleasing result while keeping your desired implant profile. I hope this information helps clarify your options and provides reassurance about achieving your goals. Please consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in revisions to ensure the best results. Sincerely, J. Timothy Katzen, MD

Answer: Replacement Thanks for your question! It's difficult to determine if you have enough skin over the internet. I would encourage you to get one or two more in-person evaluations. And yes, you could absolutely switch to a full profile from an extra full. Best of luck!

Answer: Abdomen You need to post a photo with your arms down by your sides for your abdomen. I would suggest going smaller because of the bottoming out issue with your implants.

Answer: Tummy tuck Dear Tabitha1703, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
