My pec muscle was not repaired to original position upon explant 7 years ago. I continue to have breast pain at the bottom of my breasts. Is it possible therr are complications with my pec muscle this long after? Or problems with scar tissue?

Answer: Pain Pain is more commonly associated with scar tissue. You can try massage, red light or ultrasound treatments, or even radiofrequency to see if you get relief.

Answer: Breast pain after implant explantation. Idiopathic breast pain is a very common condition. for most patient, there is no diagnosed ideology or treatment other than avoiding caffeine and you think over-the-counter pain medication. The pectoralis muscle is typically not repaired during implant removal. Women who develop breast changes should be a valuated by their primary care or OB/GYN doctor, especially if you notice any physical changes. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
