I am planning to get my breast implants removed and a liposuction but my PT/PTT/INR results were slightly high: PT 12.4 Range 9.1-11.9 (sec) INR 1.12 Range 0.80-1.07 PTT 33.0 Range 23.6-31.6 (sec) Should I move forward with the surgery or should I postpone it? Thank you in advance for your help.

Answer: Making you on medical decisions You should not make your own medical decisions or make attempts at determining if you’re a candidate for surgery or not. Please review your lab results with your plastic surgeon and let that person make appropriate decisions. There’s a fairly famous quote, taught to most medical students that goes “the Doctor Who treats himself has a fool for a patient”. your lab tests are pretty close to normal range, but some plastic surgeons may be conservative and want to look into this a little further.Surgeons don’t like surprises, so please let them know sooner rather than later.
