Elevated PT/PTT/INR before surgery. Should I move forward with surgery or should I postpone it?

I am planning to get my breast implants removed and a liposuction but my PT/PTT/INR results were slightly high: PT 12.4 Range 9.1-11.9 (sec) INR 1.12 Range 0.80-1.07 PTT 33.0 Range 23.6-31.6 (sec) Should I move forward with the surgery or should I postpone it? Thank you in advance for your help.

your PT/PTT/INR levels should be within normal range prior to surgery due to increased risk of bleeding complications. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

You should discuss this with your surgeon as she/he will be the one to make the final decision.  A repeat test may be ordered to rule out any error.  The lab tests referenced have to do with your body's ability to clot, so it is important for your safety that they be reviewed by your surgeon.

You should not make your own medical decisions or make attempts at determining if you’re a candidate for surgery or not. Please review your lab results with your plastic surgeon and let that person make appropriate decisions.
There’s a fairly famous quote, taught to most medical students that goes “the Doctor Who treats himself has a fool for a patient”.
your lab tests are pretty close to normal range, but some plastic surgeons may be conservative and want to look into this a little further.Surgeons don’t like surprises, so please let them know sooner rather than later.
