No capsule found after 3 months?

Question

Hi, I recently had a breast explant surgery after only having my implants for three months. I began developing serious autoimmune symptoms (muscle and joint pain, numbing, choking feeling, extreme fatigue, etc) about 6 weeks post surgery. After numerous labs and tests, with no clear problem found, I decided to remove my implants with capsule. However my surgeon said there was no capsule around my implants/in the pocket once he operated. Is it possible to not have a capsule after three months

Capules do start to form shortly after augmenting. Although, there is no set time frame of when they do. It can very from patient to patient but I have had patients that have formed capsules within weeks after the augmentation.

It is possible that your capsule had not fully formed at three months post op.  If a capsule was present it would be very thin at the time of removal.  I hope the removal improved. your symptoms.

Yes, a capsule may not have had time to form in just three months. Your complete healing time is a year for breast augmentation.  I hope you are feeling better. If not, please be checked for food allergies.
