Question

I am a 34 very athletic female And have lost a lot of volume in my breast tissue and the skin is thin. Will I still be a candidate for a lift with implants? See photos exhibiting the sag and stretch of tissue.

I would recommend adding some type of internal support (Galaflex) for the implant. You are a proper candidate for a lift and implant with support. This would ideally be done in 2 stages with the lift first followed by the implant in 3-6 months.

Dear Fitish35,
based on your photo, you look like you would be a good candidate for breast lift. My preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity.

If you are generally healthy then based on the photo and info you’ve provided, a lift and implants may be suitable for you. The lift would reshape your breasts to make them perkier, and implants would increase your breast size. Please note that implants would not be necessary if you only want to improve perkiness.

Hello,When I examined your photo, there is particularly volume loss in the upper part of your breast. In cases like this, breast implants can be used in conjunction with a breast lift surgery. Placing the implant above the muscle for you may cause an artificial appearance and you may feel the implant when touched. Therefore, I recommend submuscular placement of the implant and breast lift surgery for you. I hope this helps.

It seems she would certainly be a good candidate for this operation.  Usually, the lift and augmentation can be done at the same time.  For your presentation, I may want to do a lift first and plan on augmentation later.  During your second surgery, the surgeon would have the opportunity to tighten the skin up with a small revision, if needed.

The technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained. Later, fat transfers or small implants can be placed if additional volume is desired.

You are a great candidate for implants and a lift. Although not completely necessary, the degree of your soft tissue laxity would benefit from the use of a resorbable mesh to support the implant while healing and beyond. Yes, you can get an amazing transformation.
