I am getting a lift with implants. Does the lift remove some tissue? If so should I pick a slightly larger implant then the size I tried on in a sports bra?
Answer: An in person evaluation is necessary to answer; click link below for some examples After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Mildly Sagging Breasts: If your breasts are mildly droopy, a saline or silicone gel implant placed behind the pectoral muscle might help create the illusion of perkiness. That’s because as the implant fills out the top of the breast, it also fills out the bottom, making it look as if the nipple has moved higher. It hasn’t. You can always get a lift later if you feel you are not perky enough when fully settled and healed. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Answer: Lift You will be somewhat smaller with a lift if much skin is being removed. With an implant, less skin or no skin may need to be removed, so you might do well with the implant selected. Your surgeon can guide you to the best decision. You did not submit photos, so I cannot be specific.

Answer: Bellesoma Method The breast lift technique I recommend is The Bellesoma Method. At the time of this procedure, breast tissue is not removed and does not reduce the size of your breasts. Also, by lifting your breasts higher on the chest wall, it will create increased projection by aligning the nipple, breast tissue and implant. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Will a breast lift affect the size of my breasts and should I consider a larger implant to make up for lost tissue? A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, is a surgical procedure designed to raise and reshape sagging breasts. While a breast lift can improve the appearance of the breasts by lifting them to a more youthful position, it typically does not significantly change their size. During a breast lift, excess skin is removed, and the remaining breast tissue is reshaped and lifted. However, the volume of the breasts usually remains relatively unchanged. If you're satisfied with the size of your breasts before the lift, you may not need additional implants to achieve your desired outcome. However, if you desire both a lift and an increase in breast volume, you may consider combining a breast lift with breast augmentation using implants. In this case, your plastic surgeon can discuss options for selecting implants that will complement the results of the lift and achieve your desired size and shape. It's essential to have a thorough consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who can assess your individual anatomy, discuss your goals, and recommend the most appropriate surgical plan for achieving your desired results. They can help you understand the potential outcomes of a breast lift with or without implants and address any concerns you may have about size, shape, and overall appearance.

Answer: Breast lift with implants This response was dictated. I apologize in advance for potential grammatical errors. The amount of tissue removed during a breast lift is typically minimal. Mostly it’s excess skin that’s removed. Each plastic surgeon will have their own way of guiding patients through the implant selection process. Different plastic surgeons have different ways of guiding patients through implant selection. Some providers ask patients to choose in plant size and other providers make the final decision based on having that good understanding of what the patient is hoping to achieve Some plastic surgeons to a better job, guiding patients through implant selection than others. In my opinion I think the plastic surgeon is in a better position to make the final decision regarding implant size. my personal approach has been to use before and after pictures to get a good understanding of what the patient is hoping to achieve. Have patient bring me example pictures of other patients who have similar body and breast characteristics showing me what their ideal outcome should look like. I typically bring the ideal outcome photographs with me into the operating room and During surgery. I use temporary sizes to determine what size implants will give the outcome. The patient previously described as their ideal. If you have a provider, it’s a nice suggest forwarding questions about your surgery to him or her. If you haven’t selected a provider, I suggest scheduling multiple in person consultation with plastic surgeons in your community who seem to have a lot of experience with breast surgery. There are a lot of variables to take into consideration. Quality of breast augmentation surgery is generally based on three variables. The first is the patient candidacy for the procedure. The second is the selection of implants in regards to size, shape, and type good The third is the surgeons ability to place the implants in the correct anatomic location. With a breast lift, there are other variables, such as the lift design and how well that part of the procedure is done. Expected to be significant differences in skill and experience among different plastic surgeons. Do not assume that being board-certified in plastic surgery with years of experience in an overall good reputation means that somebody is mastered any single procedure. Finding the right provider is the most important variable guided In the hands of the right provider implant selection should be pretty straightforward. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
