To make an assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure, we need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. did you’ve had more than one procedure than we need to see before and after pictures of each of your previous operations. To give you a proper assessment we would also need to read your report to understand exactly what was done during each of the previous surgeries. Generally, speaking breast augmentation outcomes are based on three variables. The first is patient candidacy. The second is implant selection and the third is the surgeons ability to place the implant in the correct an anatomic location. Ideally, the breast should be supported by a sub Pectol pocket, allowing the picture muscle to support the weight of the implant so that the implant is not stretching out skin or breast tissue. Placing the implant correctly dividing the right amount of pectoralis muscle is key to getting long-term quality outcome. It looks like the implant is not being supported via a properly made implant pocket, and the weight of the imprint is being held up by the skin on the lower part of your breast. This is most likely, the reason why it keeps stretching out. I don’t think the The implant was placed correctly to start with. This is an assumption based unlimited information. We can’t give you a quality assessment without quality information. To get a proper second opinion, consultation scheduled those in person consultations with other plastic surgeons in your community. Come prepared bring with you complete set of your medical record with all before and after pictures and all previous operative reports. The first surgery sets the foundation and will dictate the chance of long-term success with this procedure. We need to know the implant position, especially if it was above or below the pectoralis muscle. Supporting the implant and correcting implants that have bottomed out using mesh is not easy or straightforward. If you’re not getting the results, you’re looking for with your current provider, then you may need to find somebody who simply has more experience and has greater skills. Some patients do have a propensity to stretch out skin and scars but I think in your case a surgeon with better skill might give you a better long-term outcome. I’m apprehensive to say this, but that’s what it looks like to me. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
