I haven't worn my glasses since my procedure back in the beginning of November 2016... am I able to wear them now ?
Answer: 3 months post op, some advices: Thank you very much for enquire. Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.Kind regards, Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-

Answer: Ok to wear glasses now Hello, you can wear glasses after a rhinoplasty now. Depending on exactly what you had done during surgery, you may even wear glasses earlier. That is, if no osteotomies or bony work was done, I typically let my patients wear glasses after a week or so. But if your surgeon performed bony work, we usually recommend at least 2 months before wearing glasses. Also, bear in mind you can wear glasses sooner than 2 months if you reduce any pressure the glasses may have sitting on your bridge. A simple trick is to tape your glasses to your forehead. Ultimately, it's best to consult your surgeon since he/she may have their own philosophy. Best wishes.

Answer: Wearing glasses I ask my patients to refrain from heavy glasses for a few weeks following rhinoplasty. After that time , there are no restrictions. Review your doctors restrictions regarding glasses with his/her staff.
