I just had my second FUE transplant.. total over 2 transplants 6 years apart is 5000 grafts.. as you can imagine my donor is now depleted but i was happy to swap donor hair for hair on top.. my FUE scars are small but I like to shave down very close back and sides.. my intension was always to get smp on the fue scars although tiny they are noticeable. my question, how long should i wait to smp my donor following my latest transplant? SMP to donor only.. thanks

Answer: When can I get SMP after FUE hair transplant? You need to wait 4-6 weeks until the donor shows no signs of FUE post op changes. Then go for the SMP. We offer this as well.

Answer: SMP after FUE harvest There is no hard, fast rule for when SMP can be performed, but typically after a few months once all the sites have healed, patients may go forward with SMP. Make sure you go to an experienced person to do the procedure as the ink may spread more in scar tissue making an unnatural appearance.
