Is the donor area recovering well or is my donor area taking time to heal? I have on the left side of my head a patchy area due to the HT. will my hair grow on this side? I had 4000+ grafts done. And I believe it may have been over harvested and if this is the case will my hair be permantely patchy like this? I've attached photos to see what everyone's opinion is. I've watched and read other peoples HT stories and I feel like they've had a lot more success in 5 months than I have.
Answer: FUE Donor Area Your donor area will always look "thinner" proportionate to the number of hairs taken out after a FUE harvesting surgery. The hairs will NOT grow back from the donor area (where it was taken). If it all goes to plan the donor hairs will grow in the area it was transplanted. It may take 6 to 12 months to see the results of a hair transplant surgery. If you are concerned it is best to discuss it with your doctor.

Answer: FUE donor area Unfortunately, legitimate hair transplant surgeons are seeing a growing number of cases of FUE hair transplants performed in certain geographic areas with overharvesting of donor hairs, resulting in patchy thinned out areas. Do your homework. For you micropigmentation may be indicated in the future.

Answer: See through donor Looking at your pictures it seems like they over harvested the donor area trying to get you too many grafts in one sitting. Scalp Migropigmentation is definitely an option to camouflage your donor density thinnest.

Answer: Results at 5 1/2 months It's too early to tell how your results will be, and without preop photos the results can't be assessed properly. Your donor area does look sparse. The appearance can be improved with micropigmentation.Give it at least 8 months, then go see your surgeon to review photos, discuss results and options.

Answer: Over-harvested with donor harvesting with FUExcision technique Great questions. It is too soon to see your final results in the recipient area, be patient and you need 6-7 more months for the final evaluation. Yes, in my opinion the donor area looks over harvested with multiple micro circular hypo pigmented scars. You need to contact your surgeon for evaluation and comments. Micropoigmentation of the scars in the donor area could be a good option. Good luck.
