I had my FUE surgery two years ago done by Dr. Rome and it is a fantastic result. It was my first of any kind of procedure, and it was perfect in that it just gave me the confidence back in that one little area, the hairline. I get compliments on my hair a lot, and honestly, it looks and feels great. Dr. Rome was also enjoyable himself, it was simply pleasant interactions from the consultation, to the procedure, and then during the aftercare. He even provided a number to text if I had questions and was fine when I called with questions. Again, and most importantly, the result, I love it. I wouldn't think twice to recommend Dr. Rome for FUE. Dan
This review is a little late. about 7 months ago, right before quarantine I did a hair transplant procedure with BSG. I had done a fair bit of research before making my final decision to go with them. Some of the reasons I liked them over some other spots. 1. Experience. Most if not all of the staff has been in this particular industry for years. The procedure is really an art and for it to come out great you need experience. Dr. Rome has a great eye and will give you a wonderful natural looking hairline. I also did a scalp camouflage(basically a tattoo) Rodney, another gentleman who works at BSG absolutely killed it on this. They basically go in with a tattoo needle and make small dots that look like hair follicles. I cant tell you how natural it looks. I couldn't even tell it was a tattoo without getting point blank with a camera. 2. Professional but not uptight. They really have created a wonderful energy inside the business. Like I wouldn't mind hanging out and having a beer or a manhattan(which you can or could, before covid). Everything feels, looks, and is maintained clean like any doctors office but doesn't have a boring esthetic. The staff is friendly and very easy to chat with like a friend. I honestly just felt comfortable and at ease being there. 3. Hospitality. The staff to me feels happy to work there. It shows in their actions. I always have felt focused on and like I am a vip being there without being overbearing. 4. Discreet. I'm sure for some people who do this procedure that they don't want anyone to know which is understandable. All of the procedures are done in smaller private rooms. If you happen to be there for something and someone else is getting a transplant etc. They make it a point to keep doors closed and to make sure hallways are free of people. As far as the procedure goes. Before you make any decisions they sit down with you and answer all questions you may have and explain the process. I never felt pressure to do anything and only ever received honest answers. Another thing....YES, the procedure is expensive but you will be paying a lot anywhere you go. I figured why not go with "the best" for me which was BSG. They do have financing options through a 3rd party. When you go in on your day to get the procedure done Dr. Rome will prepare your scalp by numbing it and creating small incisions where your new hair will eventually go. I should mention that the whole process is painless and you being relaxed and comfortable is their main concern. After this is done they will put you in a seat where a robot(chappy) will remove follicles one by one from the back of your head. This is the longest part of the process. Chappy basically scans your head and removes follicles in a way where everything is removed evenly. While this is happening there are technicians that are caring for your hairs and keeping the follicles alive. After this they sit you back down into another chair and 1-2 technicians begin one by one inserting your new hair. The whole thing takes about 6 hours? I honestly can't remember. You are able to drive home and its all pretty easy. The first 5 days are pretty trippy after the surgery. You have to sleep a certain way and have to be very mindful of your hair as things need to set. They give detailed instructions and you can call them ANY time if you have questions. The first couple of weeks are cool because you can see the hairs they put in and it looks like your hair is back! Unfortunately most of the new hair fall out which is normal and part of the process. After the healing is the boring part. It takes about 6 months to even start seeing anything as far as new growth. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case but I gotta say, your patience will pay off. Like I said, I'm about 7 months in and I cannot believe the difference. They showed me pictures from before the procedure and it is night and day! Dr. Rome told me I will see a lot more growth as well. I am so excited and happy that I decided to go through this procedure. It's something I wanted for some time and am really thankful I made the decision. I would 100% do this if you are on the fence and can afford it. I'm extremely happy with my results so far and look forward for more! Thank you Dr. Rome and all of the BSG staff for you help, hospitality, and support!
First off just wanna say thank you so much to Dr. Rome and his staff!! They are incredible and so welcoming which was such a nice feeling. I had been considering getting my hairline fixed for quite some time and after extensive research I found Barber Surgeons Guild. After my first consultation I knew they were the right fit. Dr. Rome and I saw eye to eye on exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be happier with my results!! I feel so much more confident in my look. It's exactly what I always wanted. The procedure was easy and painless. I was in and out within the same day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I have actually already recommended a friend to them and after his consultation he got his procedure done as well. Thank y'all again!
Dr. Rome is an experienced professional that is truly invested in his patients and their results. This was my first cosmetic procedure of any description, and the staff at BSG alleviated my concerns and provided encouragement and support throughout the process. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering this procedure.
Amazing place, amazing staff, and amazing service! The level of professionalism and knowledge is 2nd to none! This place feels like home with lots of positive energy! Everyone is friendly and makes you feel very comfortable! I give 10 out of 5 stars!
Process was relatively painless. Fell asleep through session. I did experience severe swelling (forehead day1 to day 3 and eyes and face from day 3 to day 8. ( I would not have been comfortable being in plain sight of the general public) Donor area healed well and was fairly concealed through regrow this by day 7. Transplant area redness and alike lasted most of the first 5-6 days and disappears quickly- very satisfying so far
I'm so happy I decided to go with Dr. Rome for my ARTAS robotic hair restoration treatment. It's been a year now and I have better hair than I did when I was first loosing it. I'm in my 30's which Dr. Rome told me many of his patients were the same age as me which made me feel more comfortable. I restored my hairline and my temples where I had recession, and now that it's fully grown in, I could not be more happy with the results. I've elected to continue maintenance therapy with his monthly membership of injections and have noticed less hair loss since starting. He told me this treatment should slow down future loss by as much as 85% per year. The procedure was painless, there was essentially no downtime, and there was zero post procedure discomfort. It was almost too easy! I've been following up with Dr. Rome since my treatment, and love his spot at BSG (Barber Surgeons Guild) where I can get beer on draft and a haircut after my follow up encounters! Where else can you get that sort of full service! Dr. Rome represents the future of hair restoration. He is innovative, sincere, and his staff all professional and just a pleasure to be around. There is no high pressure sales pitches like the other docs I interviewed and I could tell our interests were aligned when he told me he rather put as many grafts in the areas we chose to treat than choose a number and pay for that. I'm so thrilled I went to him and not one of the other 'old-school' places where I just felt like a number more than a person. This procedure truly changed my life. I'm more confident than ever, and I've donated the majority of my hat collection go goodwill!
Mr experience was superb! Not only was Dr. Rome professional and kind toward my insecurities regarding my thinning hair, but he tailored the best solution to me. The office was immaculate and was designed in a way that made you feel comfortable, as if you were not in a clinic but an old haunt from an era that had come to pass. When it came to me SMP treatment, he made sure I understood both what was going to take place and how to care for my scalp afterwards. It was the experience that left my thinking not of my insecurities, but one that I wanted to send anyone else who felt as I did in his direction. Overall, 5 stars that are well earned for giving me peace of mind and my confidence back.
After months of researching and several consultations I was fortunate enough to have found Dr. Rome’s practice. The first thing I want to discuss is the consultation experience.. at no point in the consultation or even in booking the consultation did I feel an ounce of pressure or sleezy salesmanship. I was very comfortable and secure in the fact that my needs as a potential patient were priority and that I was a person and not a “sale”. While I’m a woman and my procedure was for an eyebrow transplant I appreciate Dr. Rome’s passion for the science of hair loss and restoration of all types and the information he so freely gives that doesn’t sound like he’s given that speech a million times and is tired of it. I could feel that his main concern was my expectations and happiness with the results of the procedure. It’s been over a year now since my procedure and I am beyond amazed with my results and have thrown away all my eyebrow pencils!
I was thinking about having hair transplantation surgery for the last year and decided on Dr. Justin Rome at Robotic Hair Restoration Center in Beverly Hills. I took a lot of time deciding on a doctor. There are many sites for good advice online, but there is nothing better than visiting the offices when you get serious. I visited 4 hair centers on the Westside. Two Neograft providers, one conventional type of MD that does FUE and FUT in his small private practice office and Dr. Rome with Robotic Hair Restoration Center. My first appointment was with the conventional doctor who does FUE and FUT. He pretty much pushed me to the FUT Surgery. He explained that the FUE would take a lot more time and be close to the 18K mark when all is said and done. He stated that the FUT was highly refined these days, showed me a lot of pictures of before and after which looked good, and the price was closer to 12K. I felt I could have negotiated a better deal if I was ready to pull the trigger. I was totally satisfied that he had a lot of experience and he has a great reputation. I was close to pulling the trigger, but I decided to think on it. A few friends pushed me to look into the new “Computerized – Robo” method because that was the latest technology, so I did some more investigation. The two Neograft Robo providers were a completely different experience. They are “Spa” type of places and not specializing in Hair only, but this is an add on for them. They both were almost the same pitch. They each didn’t have a thick portfolio of actual customers who had the surgery at their physical location. They had a lot of pictures, like stock photos and had a small collection of their own. I did see a real doctor at the end who said he supervises, etc., but they have a team that comes in from Neograft. I felt both places were “saleman-ish” for lack of a real word. They were really willing to make a deal because this is new for them and they wanted to hopefully get referrals, etc. I didn’t get a good vibe from either of them. They also kept talking about how many units they would get me, price per unit, and a lot of salesman talk from a lackey and not a doctor. I believe I could have gotten the procedure for well under 10K (maybe even 7-8) from either of these places, which was going to be a great deal for sure, but I am not “price sensitive” when it comes to an elective procedure. I have seen too many episodes of Botched to want a deal. After these visits, I thought I would do one last Google search and found info on the Artas procedure and Dr. Rome’s office was recommended by Artas’ site. I had my meeting with Dr. Rome and I was blown away. He is totally not a salesman and in fact, I believe he would tell you straight out if the surgery isn’t for you. Dr. Rome charges you a set price and says he will get as much planted as practically possible. He is very straightforward and explained that he doesn’t want to make the procedure about $ per graft (it is subjective based on how they are counted) or making comparisons to how others price. He is a straight shooter. All follow up visits are free. He has his iPad, shows you real pictures, goes over everything in detail and he gave me a high level of confidence that it was not all about making the sale. No pressure, whenever you are ready attitude, any questions don’t hesitate to contact me directly. That’s how I do business. I hate BS’ers. The procedure went well and as the doctor advised. The staff was professional and competent. No surprises. Dr. Rome even gives you his cell number if any issue arises when you are home. It is now 4 ½ months since the surgery and the hairs are starting to come in. It is understood that the hairs will keep coming in over a period up to 18 months, but good visual results will begin by 6 months. I have had two follow up visits to his office. The practice has just moved to a brand-new office in West Hollywood. I highly recommend Dr. Rome based on my experience having his office perform the surgery, as well as visiting several hair restoration clinics when trying to decide.
There is absolutely no way to damage you hair with PRP injections this far after hair transplant. Here, we actually treat the are worked on same day as surgery to help with healing, as well as to give the new grafts a boost. If you feel you’re loosing more hair, I recommend you go back to your performing surgeon and talk more about this.
There shouldn’t be an issue getting a hair transplant 6 weeks after Your Rhinoplasty. The position you’re in lying down doesn’t cause your nose to be touched at all. When you have a consult with a Hair Surgeon, just make it aware to him so him and his team can take the necessary precautions to make sure there is no issues.
In order to tell if a FUE surgery would be a good game plan for you, I would recommend you meet with a qualified Hair Transplant Surgeon to determine the type of scarring you have, just to see if you need a treatment plan if it is folliculitis. Once that is determined, you will be able to make the best decisions for you.
You should always ask the questions, “What if that number is not enough“ or, “How did you come up with those numbers?” Every person is different so even though those numbers may have worked for somebody else, doesn’t mean they will work for you. Here, we operate under Zones and however many grafts it takes, and long as your donor density is good, we will put than number in based on the game plan. Graft numbers can be a bit tricky so I recommend you ask all the questions you can to find out how that number was reached.
The day of procedure is the most important. Spicy foods or alcohol can cause the blood to thin and the blood pressure to rise which could flush the grafts out, plus you have a greater risk of getting swelling in the hairline area, or around the eyes IF the hairline is the priority.
