Is CoolSculpting the only fat freezing treatment that works?

Hello, I am looking into the various fat freezing treatments available but there are so many machines on the market and the treatment prices vary considerably. I have already had Coolsculpting before and I believe it works very well. However, because it's not cheap, I was considering having cryolipolysis with a non-Coolsculpting device. Though I am a bit skeptical because I had fat freezing with these machines before and it didn't seem to work. Your advice is appreciated. Thanks Karine

CoolSculpting is the only FDA-approved cryolipolysis treatment. It has been proven effective during clinical trials and continues to produce marvelous results in the real world. It’s a highly sophisticated technology that not only freezes your fat cells without damaging other tissues, but also keeps track of your skin temperature to keep it comfortable and safe. The CoolSculpting system has many different applicators to treat variously sized areas. I’ve been working with CoolSculpting for more than five years. When I combine it with Zimmer Z-wave radial pulsed therapy, I can remove up to 35% of fat in a single treatment while creating beautiful and uniform results. If you try a cryolipolysis device that is not FDA approved, there is also more risk of burns, injury and poor results. It’s always tempting to find a bargain, but spending money on something that you have no idea will work or not is no bargain. Please find a board-certified dermatologist who’s certified by Zeltiq to perform your CoolSculpting sessions.

Hello Karine, Coolsculpting is very popular because, as you mentioned, it actually does work. There are now knockoff fat freezing treatments being offered at much lower prices. We have evaluated many of these devices and found that most them are counterfeit devices that do absolutely nothing. There are some other non-invasive technologies that do seem to work. Sculpture, Ultrashape, Vanquish, BodyFx are some other non-invasive technologies that work but not as well as Coolsculpting and some of them are quite painful. I would recommend not wasting your money on knockoff treatments. Make sure any treatment you get is FDA approved for fat reduction and not just skin tightening or pain management.

It's not the only, but it's the most successful device on the market at this time and there are more physicians who are willing to put their name and reputation behind it that any other device.

Thank you for your question. Coolsculpting is the only FDA cleared, a non-surgical fat-reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat cells. There are other non-FDA approved cooling treatments out there. I recommend finding an expert on the Coolsculpting website in your area. Best of Luck!

Coolsculpting definitely has the most experience, data and studies behind it, as well as FDA approval. Many of the knockoff devices leave patients with side effects and other concerns and there are many unknown factors with having treatment with these types of machines. If it is my family or friends, I always advise to do coolsclupting, even if they are doing it at other offices.
