Is CoolSculpting the only fat freezing treatment that works?

CoolSculpting is the only FDA-approved cryolipolysis treatment. It has been proven effective during clinical trials and continues to produce marvelous results in the real world. It’s a highly sophisticated technology that not only freezes your fat cells without damaging other tissues, but also keeps track of your skin temperature to keep it comfortable and safe. Hello Karine, Coolsculpting is very popular because, as you mentioned, it actually does work. There are now knockoff fat freezing treatments being offered at much lower prices. We have evaluated many of these devices and found that most them are counterfeit devices that do absolutely nothing. There are some other non-invasive technologies that do seem to work. Sculpture, Ultrashape, Vanquish, BodyFx are some other non-invasive technologies that work but not as well as Coolsculpting and some of them are quite painful. I would recommend not wasting your money on knockoff treatments. Make sure any treatment you get is FDA approved for fat reduction and not just skin tightening or pain management.

Coolsculpting definitely has the most experience, data and studies behind it, as well as FDA approval. Many of the knockoff devices leave patients with side effects and other concerns and there are many unknown factors with having treatment with these types of machines. If it is my family or friends, I always advise to do coolsclupting, even if they are doing it at other offices.

I would proceed with extreme caution when considering other treatments that have not been cleared or approved by the FDA. Especially when you are talking about your body. Cooling to temperatures so cold (-11 Celsius) can be very dangerous if not done correctly with the correct equipment. The Coolsculpting technology is a controlled cooling environment and is very smart. If the temperature is too cold, the machine knows and aborts the treatment. If the temperature is too warm the machine knows and aborts the treatment. This doesn't happen very often but when it does our specialist can check the area being treated and check the machine for any issues. Most patients can still have the treatment done after this, but might have to wait. I don't know if the other cooling machines do this and haven't seen any studies done with them. This is why we decided on Coolsculpting in our practice. There is safety in numbers and Coolsculpting has done the most known cryolipolysis treatments to date.

Good morning and thank you for your inquiry, there are another machines with similar technologies but CoolSculpting is in fact the only FDA-cleared treatment that freezes and eliminates unwanted fat cells with little to no downtime. Go with a certified provider.

It's not the only, but it's the most successful device on the market at this time and there are more physicians who are willing to put their name and reputation behind it that any other device.

There are a few international companies out there claiming they can effectively freeze the fat like CoolSculpting. I would beware of these machines. I have seen a number of patients that have undergone treatments with no results. My advice per your account is you have seen great results with CoolSculpting. Commit to furthering your results with the FDA proven and safe technology of CoolSculpting.
