ThermiRF or CoolSculpting? I’m 38 years old and weight 115 pounds and want to get rid of the fat under my arms. (photos)

For best results with this area, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. ThermiRF is a skin tightening procedure, whereas CoolSculpting is a fat reduction procedure. In a physical exam we could determine if the problem is related to excess fat, or skin laxity. Once we determine the root of the problem I believe the best choice would be much more clear. Best of luck!

Radio frequency as a stand alone treatment is not the most effective for fat reduction purposes. CoolSculpting is the #1 treatment for fat reduction and applicators are available to treat the arms.

Hello and thank you for your question.  Our office works with both Thermi and Coolsculpting.  To really determine the best treatment it would be recommended to see your local specialist to determine if you are dealing with more fatty tissue or loose skin.  We have used Coolsculpting numerous times to permanently reduce fat of the under arm, and also used Thermi to tighten the skin if it is lax.  Both treatments combined is a procedure we call Fire and Ice, and the results of both are amazing.  The difference between each procedure is Coolsculpting is best for fat reduction and Thermi is best for skin tightening.  I hope this helps to answer your question and good luck in your journey!

It depends if you have a significant under arm fat bulge. If there is Visible and "Pinchable" fat present, then having Coolsculpting done to that area should produce significant results. Hi there! Both ThermiTight and CoolSculpting are good options but are used for slightly different reasons. CoolSculpting is mainly for fat reduction, and each cycle helps treat about 20-25% of the fatty tissue that fits into a treatment "cup." There is a small tightening effect that we see with it too, but that is secondary. ThermiTight is used primarily for skin tightening in patients with mild laxity. There is some added fat reduction, but it's harder to quantify exactly how much fatty tissue is reduced with each treatment. CoolSculpting is typically a series of treatments, while Thermi is usually a one-time treatment.
