Is it safe to have Botox while taking medication?

Receiving botox injections while taking amitriptyline may increase certain side effects such as dry mouth, blurred vision, and urinary problems. Let your PS know if you experience any of these.  I am not aware of any interactions between Botox and gabapentin.

Thank you for your question.Botox works directly on the muscle it is injected in. You should be alright to proceed with injections. You can always call the doctor that prescribes the medication and see if they advise otherwise.

It is perfectly safe to get Botox treatment while on your medications. Botox lock the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which triggers the muscle contractions that create wrinkles. Botox essentially paralyze the muscles and stops them from contracting. Results from these treatments are visible within 3-7 days with results that can last anywhere from 3-4 months. Yes, it is safe to get a Botox treatment while on your medications.  As Botox acts locally, it should not be affect or have an effect on your facial nerve pain or medication.  Just let your provider know about your medications beforehand and you should be fine.  I would recommend going ahead with Botox first and if you and your provider decide to use fillers for the 11s on your forehead, please make sure thy have experience injecting in that area.

The medications you have listed have no absolute contra-indication with Botox. However, you should always let your injector know what medications you are taking prior to having any work done. For your "11's" you may need a combination of Botox followed by filler depending on how deep they are.
