Is it safe to have Botox while taking medication?

Hi there, is it safe to have Botox whilst taking medication? I currently take 100mg once a day of amitriptyline and take 300 x 3 a day of gabapentin. I take these due to facial nerve pain, but hate the 11s on my forehead. If I can't use Botox whilst taking these meds is it ok to maybe have filler there instead? Thank you

Thanks for your inquiry. I would suggest a formal evaluation to get a diagnosis on eyebrow pain.  Once your history and exam are completed perhaps Botox is an option. Best. Dr. ALDO

Every patient is different, but Botox usually starts to take effect 4-5 days after treatment, and will reach their maximum effect by around days 7-10 after injection. If I had a patient that was seeing no results whatsoever at 8 days, I would recommend that they wait until around day 14 to com...

Facial asymmetry is normal finding; eyebrow position as a result is frequently most visible part of this condition. In mild cases skillful distribution of Botox can create more symmetry. Endocopic brow lift is definitely more predictable way of correcting this deformity. Good luck.

Hi. Thank you for your question. A combination of Botox and filler treatment to your upper lip and perioral area would likely be beneficial. You do need to see an expert injector for an assessment to establish treatment plan.
