Hi there, is it safe to have Botox whilst taking medication? I currently take 100mg once a day of amitriptyline and take 300 x 3 a day of gabapentin. I take these due to facial nerve pain, but hate the 11s on my forehead. If I can't use Botox whilst taking these meds is it ok to maybe have filler there instead? Thank you

It depends on the cause of the pain. Normal muscle contraction should not be painful. Spasm may be painful and in this situation Botox can relieve the symptoms.
