Every patient is different, but Botox usually starts to take effect 4-5 days after treatment, and will reach their maximum effect by around days 7-10 after injection. If I had a patient that was seeing no results whatsoever at 8 days, I would recommend that they wait until around day 14 to come see me again to assess the results and review the treatment options. I always advise speaking with doctor that performed your procedure about any questions or concerns that you might have. All the best,
We do usually wait two weeks to reevaluate botox as it can take that long to peak but if one has normally had a result of some muscle relaxation in the first week with a number of prior Botox treatments and on one occasion there is no change at 8 days, there might be some reason for a lack of effectiveness such as a different provider with a different technique, different botulinum toxin, different number of units, different placement, and a different concentration of botox, or an old botox. In my practice Botox is done so often that rarely is botox used that was prepared any more than one working day previously. In some offices botox may be kept for many days in between use and after several weeks the potency may be affected. The information provided in Dr. Shelton's answer is for educational purposes only and is not intended to constitute medical advice. Botox results can take up to 2 weeks. I would wait a full 2 weeks before assessing whether you need a touch-up. Hope this helps.
The rule of thumb is to wait a full two weeks and if there's no difference or only minimal change then by all means see your injector. Good luck! Dr. ALDO
Hi. Thank you for your question. It is common for Botox to take two weeks for final result. If you still have movement remaining after 14 days, see your injector for an assessment and possible additional treatment.
Thankyou for your question.Botox can take anything up to 2 weeks . At this time dont worry. If however you after 2 weeks its the or not as you expected then its time to talk to your injector.Hope this helps
Hello,Each patients results varies in how long it takes to kick in. Some patients see botox working in as little as three days, others... up to two weeks. As long as your after-care is followed, which involves not participating in active exercise for 48 hours, or lying down for 8 hours - you should be fine.If you still have no results, it is best recommended to go back to your practitioner and see whats going on.All the best.
While some patients would be starting to see results by day 8, others may not. As Botox takes about two weeks to show the full results from your treatment, if you still have not seen any changes at that point, I would recommend scheduling a follow-up visit with your provider to go over your results. Occasionally, patients can stop responding to Botox or you may require more units than your provider gave you.
Thanks for your question FindlayF!After receiving Botulinum Toxin injections you should typically start to see the full effects at 2 weeks post treatment. I would encourage you wait the full 2 weeks, and then if you are still dissatisfied with the results contact your injector for a review. Hopefully you see a change soon! Thanks again!
We typically encourage patients to wait two weeks from the time of injection to see final results. If after that time you still have concerns, return to your injector for an evaluation.
Botox can migrate from the site it was injected. This is a general rule, and it's difficult to know if any type of manual manipulation could increase this risk for someone like you. In general, I recommend my patients avoid exercising the day of the treatment but otherwise normal...
Yes, almost everyone has some facial asymmetry. That being said, I commonly improve eyebrow symmetry using neuromodulators like Botox and Dysport.
After a Botox treatment, I recommend that my patients avoid heat exposure, alcohol consumption, and strenuous exercise for 24 hours and not lie down flat for four hours. This is because all of these activities may possibly lead to the movement of the product and consequent side effects such as...
