I contacted my surgeon who looked at my photos and stated that the implant may have slipped out of the pocket and I may have a capsular contracture or a seroma on the right side because you can see the implants very clearly when I bend over. Can anyone here tell me what is wrong with these implants? Are their any surgeons that anyone can recommend with experience in these types of problems? I am willing to travel but would prefer someone in the NY, NJ, or Philadelphia area.
Answer: Whats wrong with my buttock implants? Unfortunately i see a lot of this, the problem is that your implants are positioned on top of, instead of under, the gluteus muscle. Hence the implant is quite visible and i am sure palpable and will most liley continue to move southward with time. To correct this problem, the implants need to be removed and replaced into a pocket under the gluteus maximus muscle. Frequently this can be done in one operation unless an infection exists. Also if a seroma (collection of sterile fluid) is present, this too may necessitate staging the procedure in two different operations. Glad to help.

Answer: Butt implant complications Sorry to hear you are not happy with your surgery. Your implants either have rotated or you have developed capsular contracture. You will need them removed and new implants placed in a new pocket. I prefer an intra-muscular pocket to minimize risk of rotation and capsular contracture. I would avoid traveling out of the country for these surgeries that have a higher risk of complications. Best of luck

Answer: What is wrong with these implants? What’s wrong with them? The implants cannot slipped out the pocket, they are placed out of the muscle. What is wrong with your implants is that they are placed on top of the muscle (under the skin) and not within the gluteous muscle. When placed on top, there is little tissue durability/strength holding them in position, for that reason, they are much more visible, palpable, and your butt look pointy and saggy (from the side). Your implants are sitting low because they are placed just on outside of the muscle and under the skin. The skin cannot hold the implant, because the heaviness, then the implant will drop. Incision for placement of gluteal implants The best location for the incisión (scar) to insert the implants within the muscles is in the center of the butt crack, just one incisión, gives access to both sides and it is concealed. The scar is small, about 5-7 cm, and easily hidden by bikini or underwear. Two separate incisions placed on each side of the inner butt cheek, it is easier and faster to perform. But after the surgery it is very noticeable. Buttock corrective surgery is often more difficult than a standard procedure; it is a surgery that requires knowledge of anatomy, good training, experience and finesse to achieve a good result; and prevent further complications. For very poor, unnatural result, corrective buttock surgery may include one or several procedures. Pictures are good, but there's nothing like the real thing. In this respect your gluteal region should be lifted (internal butt lift), replacement new implants in a new space (intra-muscular pocket) to get volume, projection, curvature; and making the pocket exactly to fit the implants so that they can't move (rotate). Surgeons must be familiar with those features that characterize beautiful buttocks before they can attempt to recreate them and make it possible to achieve optimal results that produce increased patient satisfaction and enhanced body image. If you are looking for corrective butt. implants surgery check out before and after pictures about corrective gluteal implants surgery to get a sense of what quality of results the doctor can deliver. Answer: Capsular contraction It seems like you have a capsular contraction, this is one of the reason why i never use subfacial plane for butt implants. My recomendation for you is to remove that implant and place a new Butt implant in a intramuscular plane. Before i give you a quote i need to know if you qualify for this procedure, Please post some pictures, and also i need to know your age, height, weight, if you have any known medical condition, previous surgeries, if you smoke, medications you currently use and what you are expecting to achieve with this surgery.

Answer: Implant issues You may have a capsule tightness, but the implants look like they are above the muscle and very high. You will likely need to remove them and exchange them for new implants in a new pocket.
