I am 9 months post op. I had transaxillary incision. 220 cc silicone in both breasts. The right one has obvious asymmetry. I don’t have any pain and no noticeable difference in firmness between the two breasts but wonder if capsular contracture is the reason for why my right breast is not dropping and looks misshapen. Or is it the pocket needed to be dissected further? Would a slightly larger cc in the right breast help even out assymetry? Or try ASPEN? Other recommendations for revision? Thanks.
Answer: Implants Your right side is sitting higher, so it could be lowered to match the left. You may need a different incision for this procedure.

Answer: Assymmetry after breast augmentation Capsular contracture is a common cause of asymmetry after breast augmentation. It can cause asymmetry alone or asymmetry with discomfort. The treatment for capsular contracture usually varies depending on severity and if it's recurrent or the first time it's happened.

Answer: 9 months I would wait a full year before considering any revisionary procedure. if you had a short inferior pole or smaller lower pole, a transaxillary approach makes setting the nipple to breast fold distance quite challenging.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Pioneering542462, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.
