I have 18 year old implants and after 2 kids, I’m ready to have them redone. How do I determine how many cc’s I want? I currently have 350cc in left and 325cc in right. I am a small C. I want to be a DD. Thanks!

Answer: Size Go to your surgeon and ask to try on sies to see what additional size you like. Your surgeon can guide you to what will fit your frame and tissue.

Answer: How to help decide size Hi and thanks for your question. This is a challenge for many people. Often it’s best to ask your surgeon if they can use sizers during the procedure and then it can be determined based upon your desired end size (DD). It often requires a large increase to go against the resistance of the scar tissue from prior surgery. If you want to get an idea, although not perfectly accurate in secondary surgery, is use a nylon knee high stocking. Fill with dry rice. Use measuring cups. 1 cup is 240 cc. 1/2 cup is 120 cc. Etc. Fill the home made sizer to the desired outcome. Use an elastic band to tie off the opening. Trim the excess. Insert into a NEW LARGER bra. That is important! And put on a snug fitting shirt and evaluate. Adjust as necessary. It’s more accurate with primary breast augmentation but still helps. Remember, you’re just assisting and often patients request a size volume that doesn’t correlate with the end result because they talked with friends. So participate in the decision and work with your surgeon.
