What is the best order to have a genioplasty and RF abliation done?

I consulted a dermatologist for hypertrophic popular scarring on chin. She suggested RF ablation on skin in chin area . I also want to undergo augmentation genioplasty for recessed short chin. What should be the correct sequence of these two procedures as skin is supposed to naturally stretch after genioplasty.

I would perform both procedures simultaneously. I usually perform the surgical procedure first then the skin resurfacing. Depending on your skin type, laser resurfacing may be another option for the skin.

Without seeing some photos it is not certain what the problem is, but likely that the genioplasty surgery is done first as it moves the most tissue and creates the 'foundation' of your soft tissue on the chin. This can then be followed by the 'icing on the cake' treating the soft tissues over lying, and the greater or lesser intensity of the this treatment can then be decided. The skin surgery will unlikely affect the genioplasty underneath, but the opposite could occur.

I don’t think it really matters which procedure you do first.
I suggest you ask each of your providers.
If you haven’t chosen someone for the chin augmentation then consider consulting with both oral surgeons and plastic surgeons for that type of work.
Keep your expectations low for radio frequency treatments.
