Deep dents after gynecomastia surgery. 23 years post op. Please suggest if a corrective measure/surgery is possible. (photos)

I would advise you to schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss various treatment options. However, you can get improvement on the dents with fat grafting. Hi, thanks for your question.  Yes this can be improved by injecting fat from your hip or tummy and if necessary doing a scar release called a rigotomy.  All the best, Dr. Joe

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Most likely the best course of action is to release any tethered scar that is contributing to the indentation along both chests followed by fat grafting into the space created to limit the chance of recurrence.  Hope this helps.

I am so sorry you are experiencing this problem. The good news is that correction is certainly surgically possible using the "no-scar armpit (axillary) technique." Unfortunately, judging from the scar around your areola, your procedure was performed open through a peri-areolar incision which often leads to pits and divots. In my practice, I commonly employ the use of very fine cannulas for two purposes: one is to suction residual fat and breast tissue that makes the breast too protrusive, and the other is to transfer fat (usually from the abdomen and flanks) to fill in the pits and divots. By employing this twofold approach, I can create a much smoother chest profile.
