Lips were totally symmetrical before injections. I feel two hard lumps that I can see almost translucent filler inside. Also, on the left side, which is bigger, above my lip is extremely firm to the touch. Should I wait longer to see if this smooths on it's own or should I call my doctor?

Answer: Swelling after filler Did you have bruising in the area where the lumps are? That can be resolving induration or firmness that just might be a little deeper and take a little longer to resolve. If it is too much filler, it can be reversed with hyaluronidase after the swelling resolves. I would give it a couple more days. If you still have concerns, be sure to notify your physician. Sometimes a little reassurance goes a long way. Best of Luck

Answer: Is It Normal/Ok For My Lips To Be This Uneven And Bumpy 6 Days After Juvederm Fillers? Thank you for your question and for sharing your photographs. Swelling is common after treatment with Juvederm, especially when the lips are injected. Swelling can often cause the appearance of asymmetry or unwanted fullness. Normal postprocedure swelling must be distinguished from the presence of unwanted filler. Based on your narrative and photos, I would recommend seeing your injector for an in-person reevaluation in order to determine the best course of action. Massage may be beneficial. Hope this helps and best wishes!
