This needs an in-person evaluation to determine how much Botox is needed. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results with Botox. Best, Dr. Emer
I generally use 25 units in the glabella and another 20-25 in the crows feet and forehead. Good luck!
Typically, the standard amount of Botox to treat dynamic rhytids of the forehead and glabella is 30 units (20 for the glabella and 10 for the forehead). Some patients require more however depending on muscle contraction strength. Sometimes, touch up injections are required 2 weeks after initial injection if there is still residual movement.
40 units of Botox for the forehead and frown crease is the usual average treatment for these areas.Sometimes we can treat the forehead with a little less dose customizing it for your needs. Be sure you see an experienced Botox injector.
40 units is well within the normal amount of Botox for treating the forehead and the glabella (between the eyes). Experienced injectors will sometimes use a bit more or less depending on the patient. The placement of the injections is also very important in determining the final outcome. The good thing about Botox is that it is not permanent. Make sure to bring up any concerns with your physician so that she can make any adjustments if necessary for your next session.
Thank you for your question and photo. It is difficult to answer this question without seeing you in person to see how the wrinkles change with movement. That being said, 40 units of Botox is within a reasonable range to treat the forehead and glabella. I usually start with around 33 units and then will add more if there are any residual dynamic wrinkles. An in-person consultation with an experienced injector can help guide you further.
Probably not, assuming that it is distributed properly. With someone like you, I would put 20-25 in your glabella with the remainder spread along the top and middle of your forehead, sparing the lower 1/2 and the outside 1/3 to allow your forehead muscles to raise your lids and brows.I would be very careful not only with the locations of your injections but also with the depth of them. If the needle takes out the frontalis muscle, you will lose the muscle that raises the brow and have a drop.
I would need an exam to tell for sure but I would likely do about 20 units on glabella (center of brows) and 10 on forehead and have you come back in 10-14 days to increase if needed. Too much in the forehead makes some people look angry.
40 units total is average for glabella and forehead. I personally would give you 30 units total. 20 between the eyebrows and only 10 for the forehead and then recheck in 2 weeks and add more if needed.
Thanks for you question deliamendIt is difficult to answer this question without seeing you in person and evaluating you while as you both frown and raise your eyebrows. However, the studies that have come out on Botox would suggest that the average person is between 30-50 units for this procedure. In my experience, to treat glabellar lines usually requires anywhere from 20-30 units while treating the forehead may require anywhere from 8 units to 20 depending on how strong your expressions are. I don’t think that 40 units is outrageous however, it is very difficult to say whether 40 units is right for you since you are not seeing me in person. Hopefully this helps and thanks for the question!
Thank you for the detailed question and corresponding photo. You look like you may benefit from Botox injections to help slim down the left lateral face and jaw. Botox relaxes the masseter muscle and causes it to slim down, de-bulking the lower half of your face. It takes at least 25 units per...
When you go under general anesthesia, the rectus abdominis muscles will be relaxed and easily brought together. I don’t think that you need extra Botox. You may need a CT scan if your plastic surgeon is concerned about the extent of your hernia if you have one. &...
Hello, This is a common problem. It can be softened with a small and careful amount in the area. It does have to be gentle so the brow does not drop. Ask for an adjustment dose from your practitioner and they should be able to manage it.
