I got cheek fillers using Restalyne Lyft, the injector did a TERRIBLE job, one side is way over filled the other is over filled but not as much, is it absolutely safe to dissolve?I am sorry to hear your experience. I'm sorry to hear your are unhappy with your results.  It is safe to dissolve the filler.  One of the great things about Restylane is it is made with hyaluronic acid, a sugar that can be dissolved with an enzyme.  This increases the safety of the product but can also be useful in the rare case a patient is unhappy with their final results.  After the filler is dissolved, it is unlikely you will have any long term negative effects from stretching of the skin.  Typically, the filler dissolves within hours to days after hyaluronidase injections, so you should return quickly to your "pre filled state".  I would suggest following up with your injector who can do a thorough evaluation and determine the best course of action.  Best of luck!

There are many great things about Restylane Lyft, but one of the best things is that it can easily be dissolved. I would speak to your injector about options. Some people swell from Lyft, especially if it is done superficially near the lower eyelids. If it is overfilled, or if there is swelling, then you can have the filler dissolved. It is always important to make sure that you have a certified, experienced injector that knows how to handle complications. If the injector doesn't have the dissolving agent on hand, you should not have that person injecting you.

It takes 4-6 mo to fully absorb - massage often or go to a well trained injector who can dissolve with injection.
