I received Restylane Lyft in my lips, and now I have white clusters. What are they? (photo)

Thanks so much for your question.There are small mucous glands in the lips that can become temporarily more prominent after injection. Another possibility is some of the product is too superficial. I suggest an examination with your plastic surgeon/injector for a proper diagnosis.

This may be glands or superficially placed filler. I recommend waiting up to 2 weeks before assessing results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

I would advise that if these haven't gone within 2 weeks post treatment then they will need to be massaged out or dissolved. I advise you return to your treating practitioner. 

These bumps are not typical.  If they do not resolve within two weeks they should be evaluated by your physician.  If needed Restylane can be removed by injection of hyaluronidase.  This should be done by an experienced physician

These small yellow bumps are normal glands in the lips.  The Restylane Lyft plumped your lips so the glands are more noticeable but may be less obvious when the swelling subsides.
