I exercise I eat right and I don’t smoke I had a facelift which included a neck lift October 2021. I barely saw a difference and went back into the doctor for a revision which he did a little bit more I still can’t tell and I don’t think I needed it done on my upper face, but my neck looks like this now what happened, I go in today. I hope that he has some solution but I doubt it I’m worried now and regret doing this. My neck looks so weird.
Answer: Unsatisfactory Necklift Results From your photos, it appears that there may still be some skin laxity in your neck. I also see prominent bulging of your submaxillary salivary glands. And you have very prominent visible muscle fibers lower in your neck. Since your neck is so slender, I don't know of anything to reduce the prominent muscle bands in the lower neck. The fullness of the salivary glands can be reduced by removing part of them, but that surgery has increased risks and should only be done by someone experienced in that technique. Wider skin undermining and tightening along with selective fat removal in a few scattered areas should also help make your contour smoother.

Answer: Sagging after necklift From your photos there appears to be laxity of skin in the neck and the deep tissues of the jowls and neck. A secondary surgery is likely required with directed and aggressive work on the deep planes as well as adequate skin resection to achieve the desired result. I often see many patients who have had an inadequate facelift with other surgeons that need to address these issues. It is not easy but not impossible to improve.

Answer: Neck contour Good morning from Washington DC, It appears as if you still have some soft tissue laxity in the neck and lower face. You may need a revision surgery to release the skin and reposition the platysma muscle (deep plane technique). They may have also removed some fat in the central neck without addressing the submandibular gland (evident on the left side, under your jawline). Sometimes these have to be trimmed and/or repositioned. I hope this helps! Wishing you all the best,Dr. SitaparaChevy Chase Facial Plastic Surgery

Answer: Revision Necklift Dear RealSelfMember003032, Thankyou for your question and pictures. The best solution which can help you at this stage is a revision face lift targeting the neck area. The excess skin seen needs to be excised following fat injections which are required for removal of the wrinkles. To have a better idea of the procedure and what to expect you may have a look at the link attached to this post. Regards, TAS TEAM

Answer: Neck lift Thankyou for your question. Neck-lifts can be difficult especially when the skin quality is not good. I often use measures for collagen regeneration before doing neck lifts in individuals with crepey skin. These include use of retinoids, vitamin c and radio frequency treatments. Based on your photographs you do need further tightening of jaw line and neck. Please discuss your concerns and different options with your surgeon. All the best!
