I have seen posts where people talk about their pre-op appointments and multiple consultation appointments. What is a typical breast augmentation schedule from initial consult to post-op appointments?

Answer: Time from consult to surgery On average, it takes 6-10 weeks from initial consultation to day of surgery in my practice and many other busy plastic surgeon practices.

Answer: Timing The answer to your question is that it depends. Some patients will schedule surgery after seeing one surgeon, while others prefer to hear multiple opinions. Once surgery is scheduled, based on your time frame and the surgeon's, there is typically another preoperative appointment. Sometimes this is with the surgeon and sometimes this is with another staff member. This will detail how to prepare for your surgery day. After surgery your surgeon will want to see you at scheduled intervals to monitor your progress and answer questions. Often times the first appointment will be within the first week of surgery, and then become further spaced after that as long as there are no concerns.
