Soreness under breast implant scar, 7 months post-op

Question

I had breast augmentation 7 months ago and it’s been relatively easy as far as pain except I get soreness still under my right breast when wearing a bra. It’s now been over a week that it hurts despite not wearing a bra. My right breast was much smaller than my left and has given me the most trouble. Is it normal to still have this pain? I did just see my dr for a follow up but was feeling fine. He said everything looked well. I also have pain the wraps around into my back muscle.

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Breast pain after augmentation is often related to muscle irritation, rib irritation or some combination of both. Call your surgeon and request another follow up appointment for an in person assessment.

Having consistent pain 7 months post op is not expected.  If your bra was too tight that could certainly contribute to the discomfort, but you mentioned you haven't worn it for a week.  I encourage you to reach out to your surgeon if this discomfort persists.
