What is a safe time to move forward with either a BBL or tummy tuck after a late miscarriage?

I recently had a late miscarriage at 21 weeks pregnant. I originally planned to get a BBL or tummy tuck 6-8 months after delivering but now things are different and I don’t plan on having anymore children.

I typically recommend waiting at least 3 months before I would perform either a TT or BBL; you want to return to your stable pre-pregnancy weight.  Ask your OBGYN and plastic surgeon for their opinions, as they know the circumstances causing the miscarriage, and your current health status.

I would recommend to wait six months, but remember that all depends on your health and lab tests.

i'm sorry for the experience you have undergone.  Most people recommend waiting six months after  term pregnancies. It's probably reasonable to move a little sooner. You'll find each plastic surgeon will have their own recommendations for this so check with the provider who's going to do your procedure and what he or she recommends.  Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
