I got under eyes filler two days ago after the procedure being done the results was perfect, but after 10 hours my under eyes started to swollen and get red after around 16 hours it got worse and I noticed a very hard and large lumps !!! I'm so worried I got the procedure done in another city when I was traveling, I called them and they said you have to wait and it’s normal!! I got under eyes filler before and it wasn’t like this, is it allergy and how it needs to be corrected?
Answer: Under eye filler and hard lumps Hard lumps, swelling, and redness after under eye filler can be due to various issues. Some early-onset issues are vascular occlusion and allergic reaction. Issues that take a little longer than just a few hours to develop are infection and nodule / granuloma formation. You should see a doctor now to get the appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

Answer: Tear Trough Filler Hi @Wejdan123! I would recommend waiting 2 weeks for the filler to settle in. If you continue to have the lump after two weeks, the filler can be dissolved with Hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima.

Answer: Concerns with swelling/lumps after filler injection under the eyes Thank you so much for your question. I am sorry that you are having a problem. I would strongly suggest seeing a physician who has a great deal of experience injecting fillers in this area and managing the wide array of issues that can be associated with this procedure. It may be that all is fine, but it is best to have things checked. Best of luck.

Answer: Swelling and redness after filler Sometimes swelling from injectables worsens for a day or two after the injection. Although it’s hard to say without seeing photos and feeling your tissue, this is most likely due to deep bruising. The skin around the eye is so thin that it can react dramatically. Luckily this will go away in 2 to 3 weeks. This can happen anytime you get filler, even if it didn’t happen to you before. There’s a small chance that this represents infection. It’s rare but possible after filler. If you develop a fever, or find that your upper eyelids are swollen as well, you may want to consider visiting another plastic surgeon locally or an urgent care to see if you need antibiotics.

Answer: Post injection swelling It sounds like you are experiencing swelling after the injection which is to be expected. Each time you get an injection, there is a risk of bruising and swelling even if it didn't happen to you last time you were injected. I would avoid salty foods, ice the area and elevate your head at night when you sleep (don't sleep face down). If there is still a bump after 2 weeks go see an expert injector and they can potentially dissolve the product with Vitrase if you still are not happy with the results. You could also ask the original injector if you can email a picture of the under eye area and have them look at it and give you advice.
