I want the tip of my nose to be more refined - Tip or full rhinoplasty? (Photos)

Question

I like my nose. I just don’t like the buolbus tip. My side profile is great. But my front, you can see it’s rounded. I want just the tip of my nose to be refined but not pinched. Does this mean I need a full rhinoplasty or can I just focus on tip refinement?

As far as I can understand from your question rhinoplasty surgery is a comprehensive procedure and should be approached as such. For this reason, rhinoplasty would be the most suitable method we can recommend for you.

Based on your photos, you can certainly have a rhinoplasty of just the tip. The curved cartilage can be straightened which creates a more defined tip, while keeping it looking natural at the same time. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. A surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Fascial grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Thank you for your question. You are an excellent candidate for rhinoplasty, but do not think just the tip-plasty would be sufficient. I think it is one of the most beautifying surgeries that we do as plastic surgeons. A large portion of my practice is dedicated to rhinoplasty surgery. It is important to only see plastic surgeons with extensive experience in rhinoplasty, ie perform at least 6 per month and have performed hundreds of cases. Also, critically evaluate on-line galleries to see if their art form resonates with yours. Rhinoplasty is definitely a grey haired plastic surgeon's sport. Best wishes to you.
