Hi there, I am in the 25-35 age bracket and have disliked my nose for as long as I can remember. After many years of thinking about it, I have decided to tentatively begin the consultation process to change it - starting here. For personal reasons, I do not want to change the bridge. I like having a ‘strong nose’ but I think the tip makes it look ugly and unfeminine and would prefer if it was smaller, ndaintier and for the bridge to flow into the tip. The things I want to change are: the tip is big, bulbous and boxy, the nostrils are large and flared (very open), the columnella (I think?) hangs very low and the tip droops down slightly. I would like for my tip to be narrowed and refined. Given my facial structure, are the results I’m seeking possible with a tip ONLY rhinoplasty? Thanks very much for your time and responses.

You can certainly undergo a tip only rhinoplasty to address the bulbosity and droopiness of the tip. One thing to consider is that when to make the tip look smaller, it may make the bridge relatively bigger. You could take down the bridge a little, but still leave a bump. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert that can do computer imaging at the same time.

You actually need a full rhinoplasty to get a good result. Doing the tip only will not look good  at all. You need the bridge lowered and the nose narrowed.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a tip refining rhinoplasty. A surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Fascial grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. The alar retraction would also need to be treated as well. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Hi, you are candidate for rhinoplasty(not only tip of nose). If you want to have a narrow and nice nose you have to do rhinoplasty.
