Revision options for goretex, medpor removal?

Question

I have 1mm goretex on bridge of nose and medpor sewn into septum for support. I would like both of these removed. I am with long term effects of ePTFE in my body. Org. surgeon says he’ll remove them but will not replace with cartilage. Just wait and see what happens. Im worries I’ll get these out, need a third surgery shortly after. which I cannot do financially. Should I replace synthetic implants within ex-plant surgery or hope my body produce enough scar tissue?

Synthetic implants, while often well tolerated, carry the risk of forming a scar capsule and/or seeding with infection even years after their placement. Because of this, immediate replacement with cartilage following their removal does incur some risk, and may lead to unpredictable healing/cosmetic outcomes. I will often remove these in a staged fashion, allowing new scar tissue to form before considering reconstruction with cartilage if needed to obtain the most reliable cosmetic outcome.

There is usually enough scar tissue to keep some of the shape after removal of a nasal implant. The best option is to remove it and let the nose completely heal. This also is a cheaper option.
